Hi – This issue has been reported and identified as an issue with a popup blocker being installed and blocking some code which makes the visual plugin editor work. Is this the same issue that you have dealt with? If not, I have not heard about an outstanding issue with the plugin. If you have any information about a different issue, please let me know.

NetMassimo – I looked into this – I think it is best if I build a function to ‘revert to backup’ rather than to do manually. Give me a week and I will have it for you. Sorry for the delay.

einsiol: Thanks – this is a problem with the plugin URL being “advertising-manager” – Working on this one now. WordPress has svn plugin repo – I tried to mirror to github – will try again and let you know where it is. Cheers.

We will look to move to our own tables, rather than using WordPress options table. This will sort out our issue. However, this cannot be done in the short term.

I will resolve this thread and continue the conversation on the other thread so that we can be more efficient.

einsiol: Do you have an ad blocker installed? Others have reported that an ad blocker blocks some of the advertising manager editor code.

If you look at the values in each of these (it will be an almost unreadable mess, but you will be able to understand the names of the ads), do you see your data in either plugin_advman_backup_0 or plugin_advman_backup_1? If you can find the right backup, then you can revert to this backup.

in general, I want to see what is in all of the fields that start with plugin_advman. A field that you would be interested in is plugin_advman_backup. Also, what version are you on?

NetMassimo: When did this happen? Did this happen during an upgrade? If you look in the WordPress database, you can find a backup. Can you run the following:

SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name LIKE ‘plugin_advman%’

What are the results of this query?

einsiol: There are a couple of reports on the editor integration, and most have to do with multiple plugins integrating with the editor. I am happy to try to get to the bottom of this. Can you please let me know what other plugins you use, so I can identify the plugin that may not play well with Advertising Manager?

I am sorry to hear that Josh. If you have any error message I am happy to fix. Over 300K web sites are using Advertising Manager with success.
