In reply to: [Twit Connect] [Plugin: Twit Connect] User changed his username on TwitterThat is strange. I haven’t checked out the profiles for BuddyPress lately, but I wonder if it’s tracking the username outside of the standard WP tables.

In reply to: [Twit Connect] broke my siteHi,
The message indicates that the error is actually coming from your “Twitter Stream” plugin. It is using the same Twitter oAuth library as Twit Connect. Twit Connect was modified to avoid this error a long time ago, but Twitter Stream needs to be modified as well. If you want to use both, you’ll need to contact the author of Twitter Stream.
Cheers,
Shannon

In reply to: [Twit Connect] [Plugin: Twit Connect] Removing Bottom Twitter Login ButtonThanks, Mike.
The instructions for the plugin (Step 2) show you the code that should be placed in the comments template. When you place that code in the
template, the second button should not appear. Can you confirm that you’ve used the exact code from Step 2 of the instructions?Forum: Installing WordPress

In reply to: [Twit Connect] [Plugin: Twit Connect] No button displaying?Sorry, I’m not sure. There could be a javascript conflict coming from another plugin. You could try disabling plugins one-by-one until the button appears.

In reply to: [Twit Connect] [Plugin: Twit Connect] Can't use it to login?I’ve been looking into this. At least part of the problem may be due to a disagreement between the domain on your WP instance and the domain on your app at Twitter. For now, check to see if the “www” agrees on both.

In reply to: [Plugin: Twit Connect] User cannot change Avatar from Twitter PicThis should be resolved, but it may depend on the them being used.
Yes, it creates a new WordPress profile. It does not try to connect to any existing WordPress profiles. That’s a great suggestion though.

In reply to: [Plugin: Chat Catcher] I get no trackbaksThere are a number of things that could be happening, some of which have to do with the API problems that Twitter has been having over the past month. If you care for additional support, please contact me through the ChatCatcher.com site.

In reply to: [Plugin: Twit Connect] User cannot change Avatar from Twitter PicThat’s by design right now, but I’ll look into making it an option.

In reply to: [Plugin: Twit Connect] Twitter oAuth problemThis was a bug that resulted from my switch to oAuth 1.1. For anyone interested, the PIN popup is displayed if “oob” is specified in the callback (happened by default in this case). I fixed the bug and this is no longer an issue.
