In reply to: [Perfect Images] WP Retina 2x WP Engine HTML cachingi passed your reply on. i also notice that you are an affiliate of wpe, which site is linked to directly from within your plugin’s page in the wordpress backend.
i would have imagined a smoother interplay of the two.

In reply to: [Perfect Images] WP Retina 2x WP Engine HTML cachingcount me in. i’ve raised a support ticket with them and this was the first response from staff:
Hey there!
Thanks for reaching out to us. Due to how CDNs function the javascript that retina.js utilizes will not work “out of the box”. Essentially what the CDN does is switch out the URLs using PHP. Once that occurs, the site loads, then the javascript tries to switch out a path that no longer works. This could work if the file was modified to work with the CDN, but currently it will not. I’d definitely recommend reaching out to your developer to get this handled.
I hope this helps out. If you have any other questions, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

WP Engine ~ Finely Tuned WordPressi really think that there is a very legitimate need on their end to make this work. there are a ton of hdpi displays out there, especially on the mobile front.
so, i’m not sure what could be modified on my end, but if someone knows, please let me know.

In reply to: [Amazon Web Services] error: AWS SDK requires cURL 7.16.2not too familiar with the update process. i currently have centos 5.9 x86_64 with curl 7.15.5.
how can i bump up to 7.16.2 or greater?
any update on the fix?
thanks.i was going to attemt that, however, the media library requires title tags for images. and i don’t want to modify any core. not a big deal. i can live without that- just making sure it’s not something simpler.
thanks for the prompt responses, and the super plugin.
best
ok, thanks.
thanks.
this:
<div id="navi"> <div id="prev-post"> <?php previous_post_link_plus( array( 'order_by' => 'post_date', 'max_length' => 30, 'thumb' => 'thumbnail', 'format' => '', 'tooltip' => '%title' ) );?> </div> <div id="next-post"> <?php next_post_link_plus( array( 'order_by' => 'post_date', 'max_length' => 30, 'thumb' => 'thumbnail', 'format' => '', 'tooltip' => '%title' ) );?> </div> </div>
still prints text titles, and the tooltip on the images are derived from the img title=”text” parameter.
though not ideal, i can hide the text links with display:none. i see the anchors wrapping the images do get the proper post title tag.
oops. dumb of me. please disregard the css posrtion. i believe the loopign issue is because i am sorting by two parameters- ‘ends’ and ‘begins’. on the index, only bgins is used. in other pages, such as search, category, tag, first begins are displayed, followed by ends. how could this be handled? so that it first loops through ‘begins’, then by ‘ends’?
I JUST noticed this!? WTF!
@kazancexpert – exactly. that’s the only way to go about it.
@rediris- thanks.
