I suppose I am just basing it off of the report that says “Regenerated 13(Demo)” etc. because that doesn’t indicated that the image has been skipped and I never make it past 30% as it goes over the same images over and over again. Thank you for the updates and trying to address the issues. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be working for my installation. I have updated to the latest version (3.1.6). But I can see that when I try to start regeneration, it continues to regenerate those images that have already been completed numerous times (see “DEMO” images in screenshot):

@erania-pinnera – I don’t see any solutions suggested by @codemonkeynorth – Just more details about the bug. I am confused as to why you want a new thread for the exact same problem that hasn’t been addressed in this thread?

There is a running topic on the Github listed by @marcguay, but there are no solutions posted. It is also mentioned that “it’s not a bad thing to regenerate all images” but it is for our site with over 30k images, as the site inevitably hangs around 30 – 40% of the way through so the last 60% of the images aren’t addressed. Please advise if you still want me to start a new topic, but it seems it would just bog down the support threads with the same info as provided here.

@marcguay I am experiencing the same issue. The site is regenerating the images regardless of having already been regenerated and then the plugin hangs at the 35% range (7k+ images) and when I start it over, it starts back at the beginning with the same images and never really progresses.

@sbwdblog8 – Thanks for the update and agree there is no reason to mark this as resolved when it continues to be ongoing for many sites. I implemented the fixes with enabling the additional modules in PHP and so far, that seems to have fixed the issue for my site. Thanks for the suggestions and assistance!

Hello – This issue persists with my installation as well including with the 7.8.2 update.

That’s great news, thanks @alaa-rihan! The theme developers were slow to assist because they typically won’t support 3rd party plugins. I’ll look forward to adding the update and appreciate your attention to the issue!

@alaa-rihan You can see in the thread above that over 6 months ago someone else replied as if they had the solution so I assumed it was one of your plugin developers. I am using the very popular Avada theme but did test using twentytwentyone and the issue did not replicate. I have submitted a request with them as well.

@alaa-rihan – I apologize… it must have been another user presenting as if they were authorized to fix it. I will adjust / remove the review accordingly.

@murasaki1020 or @franckw did you ever get a solution or reply? I only got a reply back to pay someone for custom development of a plugin that doesn’t work, which is not something I would do for a plugin that doesn’t work correctly in the first place.

@idrismakda I have the same issue as well and would also like to know how to address it if you please?

@vinvin27 I do have WooCommmerce installed on this site. Unfortunately, I’m not much help when it comes to JS and have to rely on them to fix it in a future release I hope. Thanks!

I’ve run into this on multiple new site installs since my OP. Depends on your version of PHP and the default extensions on your hosting, but this has worked every time for me. If you don’t have access, have your host do it for you.

Ultimately the fix was to disable imagick for image processing. If you have access to your PHP Extensions, make sure to enable GD and disable Imagick.
