Hi and thanks for the prompt reply. I do indeed use Page Builder but I thought that because I actually did the content editing within the Visual Editor then that was where the issue was. I’ll hop over to SiteOrigin support and see what they say. Thanks again.

Panic over…I fixed it. in the Yoast SEO configuration for the post I had a 301 redirect in one of the fields that pointed to the URL of the site…so I guess that every time you click on any element within the post it redirects to the front page…which only shows the snippet…jeez, there’s so much to learn. Thanks for taking the time Andrew, really appreciate the work you guys do, always prompt ??

Went to Customize section for installed theme..it says front page displays Latest Posts.

To be honest I can’t find a setting within the Admin panel that tells me this…I looked in Settings/Reading but nothing shows up there. My Pages/All Pages says 0 pages found…beyond that I don’t know where else to look.

OK…for now I’ve edited the style.css file…I altered the width to 500px and now my page title is showing how I want it to. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction…I’m new to all of this coding stuff…I don’t really want to be messing around with it if I can get away with it. If you have anything to add then please go ahead. I’ll give it a day then if there’s nothing by way of a reply I’ll mark the topic as resolved.

Having said that I have to tell you that I’m not a developer and while I’m happy to hack around to try and fix this I need you to tell me in terms that I can better understand how to affect a fix. I’m assuming from your screenshot that the problem lies with a max width of 320 px being to blame…am I warm? If that’s the case then how do I go about changing that value. For info I have the Jetpack plugin already installed.

Nope…here’s what I did…I uploaded my image to /wp-content/themes/smartbiz/images and then typed into the text box in the field exactly as you suggest (obviously substituting my own site name instead of mysite.com and changing the name of the image to suit). All I get is blank space.

If you click on the image of the smartbiz theme you’ll see when the image is spawned on a new page at the top of the page on the right hand side is the ‘featured’ image showing the four layered smartbiz template pics (or whatever you want to call them). Inside the wordpress admin panel for sites that are using the free smartbiz theme there are a number of customisable options available, one of which is the ability to change the featured image…there is a text box followed by the words
“Provide your featured image full URL here”.

I’ve added an image to pretty much every directory I can think of (via ftp) but I can’t get the damn thing to display (by submitting for example <IMG SRC=”/images/myimage.jpg”/>. All I get is no image and the name of my blog where the image should be. Thanks for taking the time by the way, I really appreciate it.
