Thanks very much for replying, I checked by deactivating all the plugins except wp super cache, but that did not solve the problem.
Please note that the problem is happening only for the new post edits, not for the previously published posts.
The plugin was working good just a few days ago.
I even checked my functions.php for any codes I might have inserted recently, and I couldn’t find any.
I am using Genesis Sample Child theme

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Comments under Some Posts not Visible but Visible in Post EditThank you very much for replying to my question,
I am using Genesis Sample Child theme.
I really want to get this problem solved, because 1000s of good quality comments are presently locked inside the posts and are not getting published, despite of all the efforts! And this is negatively affecting the dwell time of my site.
I’ll be really grateful if you could solve this for me.
Here’s the screenshot of one of the posts in the edit mode:

and this is the published link for the above post:

SwagatamOK, I ran the Seo checkup again today but the canonical warning message remained unchanged.
Thank you so much Dimitris,
I appreciate your kind support very much!
Yes I re-ran the Seo checkup and it continued showing the same redundancy message. Actually the Seo checkup feature allows only one checkup every 24 hours, therefore I am unable to reconfirm this until tomorrow 11 am (Indian Time Zone).
OK, if you are saying that even with this existing warning there’s no need to worry, then can I revert the setting to the previous condition? That is, can I again disable “Hide Redundant Canonical Tag” button to its original condition?
Kindly advise!
Thanks very much in advance!
Best Regards

Thank you very much for the reply,
I have implemented the suggestions, the first issue is solved, the %%page%% macro don’t appear anymore, however the second issue is still not corrected.
I have toggled the “Hide Redundant Canonical Link Tags”, but the SEO checkup keeps showing me the warning regarding redundant canonicals. Also I could not understand what exactly is causing this redundancy issue, is it because the canonicals are appearing more than once?
Please help me to solve the above issue! It’ll be greatly appreciated!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] How to Add an Engineering Formula or ExpressionOK got it, thank you very much!
Thanks Sybre,
No Problems, I’ll manage it with manual investigation.
However if you could add it in future, might turn out to be one of the huge features ??
Thanks very much for your support!
Best Regards
SwagatamThanks so much Sybre, for this amazing support and for solving all my doubts, you too have a great weekend!!
Thanks so much Sybre for this detailed explanation,
It has indeed clarified everything regarding canocalization.
I have switched back to SEO Framework, I have kept the default setting as is, except a couple of things which are as follows:
1) I have installed a separate plugin for generating sitemap.
2) I have preferred keeping the archive pages indexed by unchecking the option which says:
“Apply noindex to every second or later archive page?”I am interested to index the category pages since I have added a unique descriptions to them and I feel they will be quite useful for the readers to select the most suitable article as per their choice ??
I would appreciate if you could confirm whether these are OK, or not recommended?
I am truly grateful for your time and valuable suggestions.
I look forward to your response!
Warm Regards

Hi Sybre Waaijer,
Thanks very much for your prompt reply.
I am really sorry, I mistakenly said blog page (homepage).
I actually meant the Category pages(Taxonomy).
I have my category indexed and as per the rules its sub pages must point to the 1st page through a canonical URL. I could not find this feature when your plugin was activated.
Also I could not find how the %%page%% parameter could be added at the end of the category page metas to avoid duplicate issue if Google ignored the canonical setting, and it does appear that often Google ignores the canonical URL and shows duplicate issues in webmaster tools for taxonomy.
Please correct me if I am wrong or please enlighten me if there’s any relevant feature that I might have missed to activate in your plugin. And alternatively is there any option in your plugin to keep the taxonomy deindexed?
Again, I am so sorry for creating all the confusion.
I greatly appreciate your prompt support, and the effort that you have put to make your plugin one of the best!
Warm Regards

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Fix Duplicate meta descriptionsI am also getting similar issues with my site, I am seeing duplicate metas for indexed categories, and for paginated comments.
After reading many relevant articles and fixes, I am trying the following settings in my yoast plugin:
I changed my Homepage title to:
%%title%% %%page%%
Added %%page%% at the end of the description paragraph.
In Taxonomies I added the following in the site title box:
%%title%% %%page%%
And the following to the description box:
%%excerpt%% %%page%%
Please let us know if the above settings are correct or not.
Best Regards

Sorry for getting off topic, so I would come back to the speed issue and hope we are able to get a solution for that.
Thanks for your patience!
