Thanks guys, I’ll give them both a go.
Umm vtxyzzy doesn’t header.php just deal with header? Sorry if I sound naive because you’re probably right

Terrific Steve, yeah I’ll do it the way you pointed out. It seems logical especially how IE is by far the worst of them, although I have not looked at safari etc. I think IE, Firefox and Google Chrome users make up the majority though.
    Thanks again, regards..Grant

Thank you very much stvwlf for your most kind reply. The effort you put into it is fantastic and I appreciate it very much.
I will do what you said in regards to pasting the code into a text editor and see how I go in editing it. I had a play yesterday with editing my post and it seems that it looks ok with firefox and google chrome now but with IE it won’t show images and my amazon widget on the sidebar.
Thanks again for your outstanding reply

Thanks esmi but I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go down this road. This all seems a bit too complicated for me. This is something so basic (that I want to do) I don’t understand why wordpress makes it so hard, thanks again..Grant

Yes but how do I go about fixing this? surely wordpress must let you swap posts around? Even though the dates are what they are, this shouldn’t matter surely? btw I don’t know why wordpress won’t let me change a post from normal to sticky, it’s a mystery I must say

Thanks esmi but the ones I want on my first page are already made sticky and for some reason, and are still on the last page.
Something bazaar just happened, I tried to make another one sticky that is on my last page and it would not let me change it to sticky, I wonder why? Maybe I am out of stickies? ha there must be some reason?
Could you help me out further on this? especially the initial question, Regards…Grant

Hi thebusysingleparent, if you are having the same problem that I was having, don’t paste all of the affiliate link, just the affiliate address (which is your special affiliate code) I have to go now but if you need to know more I can get back to you soon..Grant

Thanks for that Samuel but I still don’t understand because I made them sticky and it would not work, umm and by the way, how does it work anyway if you check the post off as sticky, which one goes to position 2,3,4 etc. Is it the first one you make sticky that gets priority? and then the others follow? Thanks again…Grant

Thanks for that Panther8, that’s what I might have to do from now on. WordPress doesn’t seem to be capable to do some of the things it says it can, might also try something like xsitepro, surely I wont get the dramas I get using that than wordpress. Thanks again..Grant

DaisyMariposa, It’s a pretty straight forward question, I obviously already have an affiliate link, it’s just that when I try to use the link function in wordpress, it does not direct people to the affiliate page, it just takes them to my page with the error 404.
I just highlighted some text and tried to make an affiliate link using the link function, that’s it! and it did not work. Maybe the link button doesn’t work for affiliate links? Maybe you have to paste it into your code every time, I don’t know…Grant

Hi DaisyMariposa, no, all I want to do is make a bit of text into an affiliate link just like this one that I already have, regards..Grant

Thanks for the answer but what I want is another “sale offer” widget in my sidebar so I can have another ad there..Grant

Hey thanks, so it’s the kitchen sink icon, I guessed that has been solved. What about line spacing, can I adjust this? and where? thanks again James..Grant
