I’ve reported it at Photocratis bug-report thing but I think it would be useful if more people reported it because they are fixing things that effects many people.

Thanks @johnny_n but I didn’t mean multiple versions of the plugin – just 1.9.13.

My argument is that the WordPress admin updater is used by many users who can’t spell to FTP and using the WordPress admin updates is the absolut limit of their knowledge about the back-end of their website. And they are not helped very much by a list of old versions because it is like giving them a recepie in mandarin and asking them to bake a cake with it while doing a hand-stand.

Of course there is always the argument that there are loads of web developers out there fluent in all sorts of languages that are happy to help those unfortunate that trusted in NextGEN.

But I think that for the sake of their repuration Photocrati should take the 2.0 out of business for a while.

I’ve just suggested that the latest stabil version of NGG (1.9 something) should be available via wordpress so that newbies and others can install it without risk.

And that NGG 2.0 should be the version downloaded via websites and uploaded via FTP for those who are interested in testing it.

One quick look in the support-section will tell you that you need to change back to the previous version. 2.0 is not working.

This is a bug that many people has experienced after upgrading to 2.0. Look at the support forum.

I am no expert whatsoever but this happens to me when trying to upload large pictures.
If I rezise them before upload it usually works again.

Another item to my list.

– The “set NextGEN featured image works somtimes but mosly not. Pity because this was a bug-fix I appreciated.

Thanks for posting your questions here so that others can read them. I am at the moment considering upgrading to Pro but i hesitate. Not sure I want to pay for something that might be equally broken as 2.0.

The other option I am considering is to roll-back to the previous version of NextGEN.

I am very fond of NextGEN scroll gallery.

I’ve just updated to 2.0 (something I regret) but my lightbox still works (at least something). I use Pinteterest lightbox plugin.

Thanks for the link. I think I will have to use it because I regret that I updated to version 2.0. And I have almos 4000 pictures in my NextGEN galleries.

Things I don’t appreciate with 2.0
– I can’t access the options (“you don’t have enough access”).
– Monosideshow stopped working 3 different slideshows with NextGEN gallery/ .
– some picture looks strange (for example the one of myself on front page)
– I have almost 4000 pictures that I have inserted when pictures ended up to the left so that picture and text are straight. Suddenly all pictures have moved slightly – very annoying.
– When I add pictures nextgen says that 0 out of 1 pictures where uploaded when in fact the picture was uploaded (minor detail that I can live with).

I appreciate that you have made the pictures responsive and was looking forward to the new options panel though.

EDIT: I’ve added things to my list of things not working.

I think this sounds like a great feature. For example “check this box if you want an e-mail when next book is published and check this box if you want to receive regular updates.

The chechbox in the comment form works great but not the form and shortcode. It claims there is no e-mailadress in the box no matter what I write. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
