The problem is not in the tags, we have the same content in several language URLs, but content not translated, then why need to have only one canonical tag for all these URLs.
1.Site.com/Englishcontent URL must have canonical Site.com/Englishcontent
2.site.com/Russiancontent (but the same not translated English content what you can see in the first point) URL must have canonical Site.com/Englishcontent
3. Site.com/Espanolcontent (but the same not translated English content what you can see in the first point.) URL must have canonical Site.com/Englishcontent.
When I used another plugin (Yo**) there was no such problem.
The WordPress editor for all URLs the same, I can’t edit each page separately.See screenshots
