Hi @mfonabel
I don’t think the https://github.com/superwebshare/super-web-share.git will fix it as its within a branch 2.5.1 and not yet merged to the trunk??. If you have tried the branch 2.5.1, then it should fix the issue.
Hi @isarriver,
Thanks a lot for the kind words and also for the support. ??
Please don’t hesitate to contact open a new ticket if you notice any issues with our plugin or if you have any doubts, we are happy to help you.
Hi @ibloodheuer ,
Awesome! It’s a happy news!!! Could you please let us know what was the issue with the fallback and how you have fixed it?
Also if you can share more details on how you have added the custom button to the page and added the superwebshare to it, it would be helpful for us. It would be awesome if you can share these details to our email mentioned at our website, so we can improve the product.
Have a great day!!
Hi @ibloodheuer ,
Thanks for getting back to us. I think some code on your website is adding a refresh to the page weither for div or based on some class names. As the issue persists when clicking on the add to cart button, a thorough check with your developer would be the best way to sort this out.
Regarding your question, native share prompt only shows on the browsers which are supporting the Share API. In most desktops this API is not yet supported, that’s why we’re providing the fallback option. In future these desktop browsers may support the native sharing API, but we are not sure when it will be. Once the desktop browsers start supporting the API, then our plugin will automatically show the prompt without doing anything changes.

In reply to: [Super Web Share - Native Social Sharing Button] Share et page speedHi @cedricdel
Good day to you and thanks for using Super Web Share. We have fixed this accessibility issue on our repository some months back, but we didn’t get enough time to roll this out on the WordPress. We will update the fix version with some features on the coming release which will be in the next few days.
Stay tuned!

In reply to: [Super Web Share - Native Social Sharing Button] Hide on desktopHi @mfonabel
Thanks for using Super Web Share and also for your kind words.
First of all, thanks for suggesting a new feature for our plugin! We are not providing the option to ‘hide on desktop’ within our plugin because the native share API is now supported on some desktop browsers, and API support will get expand to more desktop browsers in the coming versions. Also, as we are providing a fallback option, the social sharing functionality will work for the desktop browsers if the Share API is not supported on any browsers.
If you still prefer to have this functionality on our plugin, in that case, we recommend you submit feature requests to our GitHub repository for Super Web Share.
You will need an account to create a new issue for your feature request. Please provide as much information about the feature, including the URL to this conversation.
Hi @aqhvcd11
Thanks for reaching out to us and informing us that you mentioned about the Modal window’s “Share” text. We initially planned to add this as a feature to our plugin to change this text. But our aim is to provide a settings page having an intuitive layout; we added the functionality to change these texts by using any translation plugin for the customer to change it based on their interests per language.
Suppose you still prefer this functionality on the plugin and are not interested in using any translation plugin to change it. In that case, we recommend you submit feature requests to our GitHub repository for Super Web Share.
You will need an account to create a new issue for your feature request. Please provide as much information about the feature, including the URL to this conversation.
Hi @aqhvcd11 ,
Thanks for using Super Web Share plugin. We understand that you are facing issues with changing the button text for the inline Sharing button, is that right?
We do have one field within the Inline settings tab to change the text as per your interest. Have you tried that option?
If you are facing any other issue, please do let us know with some more information to help us to check this.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

In reply to: [Super Web Share - Native Social Sharing Button] Share post on post listingHi @cdipaul
Thanks for getting back.
Right now, there is no such option to remove the title and description text from the share intent as we are passing both values to the Web Share API.

In reply to: [Super Web Share - Native Social Sharing Button] Share post on post listingHi @cdipaul
Good day to you and thanks for using Super Web Share plugin. We understand that you would like to share the post URLs instead of the page URL where the posts are archiving.
Unfortunately, the option to share the post URLs within a page is not provided within our plugin, due to some issues we noticed before when having post sharing and page sharing work together. Due to that we’ve removed the share button showing on archive pages and set to use the page URL to be used when clicking on the share button.
We are working to find out a solution for this, but till this time it breaks another feature modules we do currently provide. If we are able to find out a solution in future, we will update this within our changelog.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us when you have noticed any other issues or doubts.
Hi @brentammok
Thanks for confirming and updating us that the issue has been fixed. ?? So it would be mostly due to some caching.
If you have some time to review, that would be really awesome!

Hi @brentammok
Thanks for using the Super Web Share plugin and sharing your kind words. First of all, we’re really sorry for the delay in responding.
I checked the website which you have linked to the ticket and noticed that you have changed the icon and color other than the default one, which we do provide as default within our settings page. Can you please confirm whether you have fixed the issue or not? If yes, what was the issue?
In some cases, we have noticed server/CDN caching plays some issues with the updating of icons. Flushing the cache helps to sort this out.
If not, could you please let us know whether you are noticing any browser console errors when saving the settings? It will help us to narrow down the issue.
We look forward to hearing from you and are happy to help you.
Hi @samot80
Good day to you! Thanks for taking the time to review our small web sharing plugin. The issue you have pointed out is fixed within our development repository, and we’re planning to ship it along with some performance features by the first week of September.
Thanks a ton again.

Good day to you. I tried to replicate the issue you pointed out, but I was not able to replicate the issue you pointed out as you have used the inline for shortcodes.
If you feel like it’s a bug, kindly please share more details about the issue with some screenshots to help us to track the issue more at here.
