In reply to: [Social Maven] Social Maven and Short Code outside of loopNot currently. Are you just looking to be able to add social buttons directly to the loop? Or as shortcodes at your discression instead of a blanket placement across all pages / posts / cpts.

In reply to: [Social Maven] [Plugin: Social Maven] Display issuesThe link that’s being counted should be the url for your post … it would be nice to see an example from your site so we can investigate what you’re seeing.
If you could send us a support request on prettylinkpro.com we’ll see if we can help you out with that.
Great — thanks for the update sdague.
sdague … I’ve tried this on several different wordpress sites and cannot duplicate this issue. Are you sure its specific to Pretty Link (that message doesn’t necessarily call out any code that’s actually executing in Pretty Link).
Does this issue affect you when you try to upgrade other plugins?
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Thanks,
Blair
I tried to recreate this issue on my development site and can’t reproduce it. If you want to go to https://blairwilliams.com/contact you can send a message — once we figure out what’s going on we can re-post here.
We haven’t had any reports except for nojit and nzbryant about this release causing any issues … So hopefully its something simple.

In reply to: [Social Maven] [Plugin: Social Maven] No facebook buttonHmmm… and you enabled facebook in the options? Do you have a url you can send me with an example of this occurring?

In reply to: W3TC Plugin ConflictSure — doing it now … thanks!

We’ve changed this back to the way it was before in the new 1.5.9 release. We’re looking into providing an option for people who want to report their time in gmt … but your reports should go back to normal now.
Blair
Haha, I can’t blame you there (even though you’d very likely be fine this time now that your memory limit has been raised). I’d work on figuring out what actually happened on your site before changing things around too much ‘lest something like that happen again. ??
Glad you were able to get the site back up though.
Blair
I don’t know. Memory allocation issues are difficult to debug in WordPress because there are so many different hosting setups and plugin environments that can be installed. I can say this though — if PL were the sole cause it should have been remedied by deleting the plugin folder — now that you’ve done that your site is no longer executing any Pretty Link code and you’re still having the issue.
We’ve had a few issues reported in 1.5.8 that we’re working on fixes for but nothing as serious as this.
As I said, I’ve found that when an error like this occurs its better to increase the memory allocation limit in php (even if its temporary) to get your site back up then you can have a better chance at figuring out what happened.
Your site is using more memory than your webhost has allocated for it to use. You need to contact your webhost and get them to increase it to at least 64MB — then you should be able to access your wp-admin again.
Hope that helps,
Blair
richkent,
We’ve had a lot of requests to report the time in GMT so that is the fix that you’re seeing. However, this seems to be causing confusion with several users so I think we’ll probably offer GMT as an option soon but default to the timezone the site is set to.
Thanks for the feedback.
Blair
Great — thanks for the update. We’re glad your back up and running.

Some of the files required for 1.5.7 were somehow not included in the 1.5.7 zip file.
We’ve just now released 1.5.8 which fixes this problem.
Please upgrade and this issue should be resolved.
Thanks,
Blair
