Now this is weird. I can get to the login screen and enter my username and password but then it redirects me to https://sunshinegypsy.com instead of https://sunshinegypsy.com/blog/wp-admin

In addition, I have another domain hosted from the same place, and I CAN get into dashboard at https://tsunshinelove.com/journal/wp-admin/ for that domain, as well as into the site proper at https://tsunshinelove.com

Both domains are installed with the latest version of WordPress and hosted from the same place. Both sites are live. All my data and sections seem to be present, but the theme is showing the default colors.

I was working in Widgets and Pages when it crapped out. I can’t for the life of me figure out what I could have changed to kill my dashboard. And no one else seems to be having this problem. Please somebody help me.

I’m sure this is no help at all after all this time, but I think the XML line you’re missing in the import is

<wp:status>publish</wp:status>

Without it, your entries will stay in draft mode until you change them by hand or rerun the import with that line in each item.

The extra step is adding the code from sponsors php to a text file in widgets! Seems simple in retrospect, duh.

I still haven’t figured out how to preserve the formatting of their default images, but I got my first ad in the sidebar, so I’m happy.

Oh, I see. I take the code from the sponsors.php file and then paste it into a new text file in widgets. That works. Thanks.
