In reply to: Error importing wordpress.com blog to self-hostedI like kjodle’s idea. I’ve always had to do a lot of cleanup with the importer. Lately I found this plugin WP Clone that does a great job. Not sure if you can use it on WP.com but it works great if you can.

In reply to: Reviews and suggestions would be much appreciatedIt’s ok. I think you could benefit from adjusting the typography a bit. Some of it is not easy to read, especially where you have lists with fairly large fonts and title capitalization. If you adjusted the line height so that the content of each bullet point stayed together but had more space between each bullet point, it would be better.
I’m not a big fan of a lot of animated sub-menus and this was not exception. They keep getting away from my when I’m trying to swoop over to click something, but that may just be me. ??
The menu coming down over the slider though is not attractive. I would not do that.
The slider navigation overlays your caption when you hover.
Something weird happens when you get search results. https://www.fairmediacouncil.org/?s=fair
Your subscription told me I’d signed up when I didn’t do anything, so you have some technical issues still.
Good luck.
I saw this when the WP update was interrupted once. Did you try updating again?

In reply to: can't upload images on my computerI wouldn’t think so. I’ve used XP with my WP sites. What happens when you try?

In reply to: Add image when sharing link?Is this actually resolved with no answers.
If not…
I had to read your question several times, so I may still not have the gist, but are you talking about an image that would show up as a thumbnail when you post the link. For example, if you want to post on Facebook and you want the link to look nice with a certain image?

In reply to: I cannot login with my user informationI know this is super basic, but did you cut and paste the username and password to be SURE it’s the same?
Well, generally the text is left justified so float left would give a straight line of text along a straight edge of image.
If you put the image on the right, to get a straight line of text along the image’s left border, you would have to right justify the text. You could, but you haven’t.

In reply to: Plugins Link redirectMine did something like this with the link to the Customizer. I went through my host and they fixed it. You might ask them.

In reply to: Changing hyperlink coloursI don’t see any such options in the free version of Theron. I would add a plug in like Simple Custom CSS and style the links with CSS.
I couldn’t see your site, just the maintenance screen.

In reply to: Blog QuestionI’m not sure I get your question, but have you set the menu location? That often needs to be reset after a theme change and can cause issues like this.
I think that may be separate from the blog page linking to blog which you’d need to set under the general settings for the front page/posts page.

In reply to: Adding Link to "Title"Some themes have widgetized headers and some don’t. Is that maybe the issue?

In reply to: Multiple godaddy domains and wordpress sitesIf you are just redirect/forwarding, I find it easier to do in godaddy than in hostgator, but either is fine for that. Just do it either in the godaddy account or in hostgator’s cpanel.

In reply to: Help Review my SiteI think the white, clean look is good. It resembles high fashion sites and lets the sarees and other garments be the star. I would get rid of the shadow border around the site. It’s doing nothing for you. And delete the tag cloud, it’s of no use and is already looking dated.

In reply to: Come Muse with meWell the idea is adorable. I think “this might get weird” is great. And I’m a big bavotasan fan.
That being said, I think the tagline should not wrap. I wouldn’t center text on the welcome page and I feel like images should be left aligned and float left, but others have different tastes.
I love the look of the center icon but that fact that it takes up a huge amount of space but doesn’t do anything is weird, especially since the icon is used to mean on or power. That and the pink swath below it make this look at first like a splash page. I think the pink is a footer because of what you have in it, so I don’t scroll down. I just go to the menus and miss the posts under it.
The menu items could be better organized. For example the star trek… next to gay marriage are not really main categories or topics, they are just two posts or pages so they seem out of place as menu items.
It’s a good start, though, with interesting content. Good luck.
