In reply to: [Fast Secure Contact Form] Can't pass hidden field to step 2 of formI discovered that the default value is what is passed to the next part of the form. This includes hidden fields. Whatever someone inputs into whatever various fields you have, whether standard or extra, becomes the default value for that field. Although it uses the field tag as an identifier it does not pass field name or tag directly, just the default value associated with that tag.
Now if I could only figure out to make the default value of the hidden field pre-populate with the value of a custom field on the page (not the form) that could make this part of the form universal for my needs, rather than having to create a new form for each home. Any suggestions?

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] Google Structured Data Error – Item FieldHi Kevin,
I just re-did the page in text mode and removed thetags. I also re-named the testimonials to a single group and re-ran the test on Google - same result. All testimonials have a "missing" item field error. Also, since I only have one testimonial on the home page with use of the widget I wouldn't think that I should have a problem with the home page but I also have the same problem despite the fact that all testimonials now have the same group name.

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] Google Structured Data Error – Item FieldHey Kevin,
Could the problem be because there are multiple groups and Google doesn’t know how to handle that? My understanding is that Google’s “Item” is for a product review so my question is if you have multiple products (in my case various vacation homes) and each one has their own name or group then is that causing the error with Google’s Item structured data? If that’s the case I would suspect I could rename them all to a single group and it should work. Well I changed them all to a single group “SunKiss Villas” but still had the same problem. In Google’s tool “Item” is blank which tells me that the group isn’t being seen by Google as “Item”.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] Google Structured Data Error – Item FieldHi Kevin,
Each of the testimonials has a group name. I have read the documentation in the Options and Testimonials section, the expanded Help tab of the plugin as well as on your site. As far as I can tell I have set everything up the way it’s supposed to be. If group acts as Google’s “Item” then it isn’t working because as I said each of the testimonials have been assigned to a group. Either that or something is missing in the documentation or I didn’t understand something.
Markmtilbury,
I don’t know if there is any problem with specific themes. I’m using it on 2014 theme and it works fine.Be sure to have at least a “1” in the margin field. If you don’t see a place to insert a number you will have to expand the Advanced section.

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] CSS conflict?BTW, the problem only seems to be on the front page. The testimonials page is displaying all the testimonials now and all CSS looks correct.

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] CSS conflict?Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the analysis and feedback.
I will look into the problems you mentioned.
When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was check the site and it gave me a 502 error but when I refreshed it was EXCEPT that the TB widget on the front page was again displaying a long list of testimonials. Also the World-Village search box widget isn’t displaying properly. It is still that way now. I will leave it that way for a little bit so you can look at it again before I start disabling plugins.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] CSS conflict?I’ve turned it on but it hasn’t made it through the pipeline on my end yet. I will check it in 30 minutes or so. Let me know what you see and if it breaks.

In reply to: [Testimonial Basics] CSS conflict?Hi Kevin,
The site address is: https://www.sunkissvillas.com but at the moment I have TB disabled because it was causing problems. The widget (set on rotate all) didn’t display as a rotation, only as a long list of testimonials. I also had a site visitor tell me that my site was down last night for a bit and I was concerned that it was related to this issue. That’s why I disabled it. The strange thing is that yesterday I enabled TB again (after a few days) and it seemed to work fine for an hour. Then it did what I described. I am happy to work with you on this so let me know how I can help.
Thanks,
MarkInstall “Advanced Image Styles” plugin and then align image as you would like (left or right) but under Advanced Options – Image Margins add “1” to left or right as needed to get the correct position for your image.

In reply to: [Starbox - the Author Box for Humans] Removing WP Default Author BoxI’m using 2011 theme with the same problem. I will be switching to 2014 theme in the near future but would like to disable the default WP Author Box in both themes.
