OK well all is screwed now because everything I tried didn’t work so I just went ahead and deleted the WP installation and all the files so I could start from scratch.

But so far the instructions I’ve received from the EZPZ developer hasn’t helped me…nothing’s working!!

I have the EZPZ backup file…I assume all is contained in there (it BETTER!) but I cannot figure out how to restore it to a fresh WP install! Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I’m getting desperate here! I did get a response back from EZPZ initially but now its been over 24hours without further response (when what he suggested I do didn’t work) and I don’t know how long my site’s been down now (since I don’t know what caused the original problem, nor when), and I have advertisers! I REALLY need to get this site up again!

HELP?? I need step-by-step instructions on how to restore an EZPZ OCB backup file to a fresh WP install? I have been using Quick Install in my cpanel to do my WP installs, so please let me know if I should be doing it manually or how it would work with Quick Install (which assigns its own database names).

    PLEASE HELP!!

I do have an EZPZ backup file from jan 19…and nothing’s been done to the site since then…wonder if I should try to restore that via the cpanel? I really have no idea what I’m doing, so I don’t want to mess anything up. No idea where this blog-header file has gone to or why it would have just disappeared!

forgot to mention…also would like the ability to charge extra features for listings like bold and colored background or at least “featured”.

update: just reread the www.remarpro.com page and saw the part about permalinks…tried redoing the permalinks and that seems to have fixed most of my problem…still cannot get the buddypress pages to work yet though. (“community”) they are still directing to mommychats.com/wp ….will keep digging….

this site i’m wanting to convert is frontpage generated…i see that there is the option to specify dreamweaver template region…why not frontpage template region?

i’m not a coder, and know nothing about this sort of thing, so forgive me if i’m totally off…but is there a way for me to have this plugin only convert the things between the tags:
    <!– #BeginEditable “content” –> and <!– #EndEditable –>
since this is where the content that i want converted is?

i have hundreds of chat transcripts that i want moved to wordpress…i would really prefer to not have to do all this manually…it seems like this plugin SHOULD work for what i want to do…but i still keep getting just blank pages when i try.

i get that frontpage is screwy and that’s partly why i want to move to wordpress. its my last site to convert to WP. i’ve already manually done a lot of work on the other sites…but i sure would love an easier way with this one.

how can i contact the developer? i hope she will respond to this post but if not…i can’t figure out how to contact her via her profile.

i’ve got the same problem…tons of blank pages. and i’ve not removed anything from the list of skipped directories.

also i have a huge chunk of pages that it says it could not import, and “You should copy its contents manually.” but checking the list of those that it supposedly did import, these files that it said it “could not import” actually were imported.

what do i do to get the actual content? and how do i go backwards and delete all these blank files now without having to do them all manually?

hm, can’t seem to get them disappear with anything else…so does this mean that the latest version of tinymce advanced isn’t compatible with WP 3.2? is anyone else having this problem?

    Thread Starter Tina

    (@sunflowermom)

tinymce advanced seems to have made all the buttons go away again. but i was having the problem before i installed it….

deactivating everything made it come back…working on adding them back one by one to see if one of them caused the problem.

And here are the pages that he’s done this on:
    BosClassifieds –> Classifieds: https://www.meteorite-times.com/classifieds/
    BosMarket –> Meteorite Dealers: https://www.meteorite-times.com/yellowpages/
    BosDirecotry –> Links: https://www.meteorite-times.com/directory/

Woops, looks like you have to have an account to see the post…well here’s the info he posted:

    1. Copy the relevant WordPress code in the <head></head> area to header.php and made sure the BosMarket CSS is below all the WordPress CSS

    2. Copy the WordPress page code starting below the <body> tag to the point where you want BosMarket and paste that into “Page header:” text area in BosMarket’s ::Manage Appearance:: selection.

    3. Copy the rest of the WordPress page code to the point where you see the </body></html> tags. Do not include these tags in your copied WordPress page code. Now paste this into the BosMarket “Page footer:” area.

If you done the above correctly you should now see your WordPress page wrapped around BosMarket.

Most likely some of the colors and formatting of BosMarket will be off. This is because your WordPress CSS is specifying formatting that BosMarket did not have to worry about before but now it does. So if it does not look right you must tweak the BosMarket CSS to override what WordPress is causing BosMarket to do.

just tried clearing the cache to solve this problem…and it did nothing. the widgets still don’t move to their new locations unless i deactivate wp super cache.
