SumUp only has control over the payment gateway in WooCommerce. Thus, if an order is not generated on their side, but it is successfully taken on SumUp’s side showing in your dashboard, then we recommend contacting WooCommerce support team directly, as they might need to assist you on what to do in their platform.

The error that you are encountering might be due to the fact that the payment gateway is not activated on our side first. This needs to be done before you can start processing payments and see the card widget.
In order to be able to assist you, we kindly ask you to provide your merchant ID, which you can find in the top right corner of your dashboard via me.sumup.com, or the email linked to your SumUp account.
Please send this information via our integration form.

The plugin SumUp offers for WooCommerce can only be used to take online payments.
However, if you need to take payments in person with the card reader via your site, we recommend checking the following solution:
– API Switch: When you already have an Android or iOS app, web app or website and this will connect to the SumUp app to process the payment.
Please note that only an iOS/Android mobile device, whether tablet or smartphone, can be connected to the card reader via Bluetooth.

Can you please let us know if the website offers the “Allow customers to create an account during checkout” option enabled in WooCommerce? If so, we kindly ask you to disable the option of creating an account during checkout and offer it only after your customers have paid. After disabling this option, please make a test and let us know via [email protected]

The error “Failed to get Checkout ID to process payment” means that the payment gateway is not activated on our side first. This needs to be requested before you can start processing payments.
