  • Typically, a deprecation notice indicates a function is no longer supported and shouldn’t cause an issue on the site. I suspect what’s going on is that you have wp_debug_dispaly enabled and that’s causing the error to be outputted on your site’s frontend. Here are some things to try:

    1. Update to the latest version – Check if your site theme or plugins are outdated and update to the latest versions if they are.

    2. Check if WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY is enabled: In your wp-config.php file, check if WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY is set to true and set it to false. That’ll stop the log from displaying on the site’s frontend. It’s better just to log the errors instead of displaying them.

    3. Conflict test: As @threadi pointed out, you can perform a conflict test to help narrow down what’s causing the error and report the issue to developers for a fix. Here’s a good guide on conflict testing.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @teraviva,

Thanks for the additional information. To confirm, did you try reconnecting after the initial error?

If the issue persists, please share your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Download for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please upload it to quickforget.com and share the link here. Please include a screenshot of the error

The admin user has not the same email as the WordPress user. Could it be the case? Should I create admin user with same email to make it work? Or there is the only way is to set the main administrator email same as WordPress.com user email?

I confirm you can connect any WordPress.com account. It doesn’t have to be the same as the site’s admin email.

    Hi @mattcnc,

To clarify, we’re intentionally not integrating a cookie consent opt-in into the plugin as there are already tons of free plugins offering the functionality. Also, some of the CMP providers recommended by Google like Complianz, etc., have a WordPress plugin.

For your reference, we shared an update on this here. We recommend installing a cookie consent plugin like Complianz and reaching out if you need further assistance.

    Hi @bellakaroo,

That sounds really frustrating. If you’re open to giving it another try, we’ll be happy to help you resolve the issue.

Please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done. We will be able to help you further there.

    Hi @marketemprende,

If you’re experiencing an issue, please create a support thread and share additional information so we can help further. There’s been multiple updates since this review was left and I currently can’t replicate the issue on my end.

Per the forum rules, please avoid using this review for support and create a support thread if you’re noticing an issue.

    Hi @teraviva,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.

To clarify, WordPress.com is used to securely establish a connection to Google Merchant Center. Google Listings & Ads uses Google’s content API to sync products, which is currently the most reliable way to sync products and the recommended method by Google.

You don’t need to have a site on WordPress.com, you just need a WordPress.com account.

And even when I created one, it still can’t connected to it either.

Could you tell me more about this and share a screenshot of the issue you’re seeing?

    Hi @coolboy0010,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I noticed you left a similar review here but didn’t respond to the request for additional information.

I’d like to go over the specific concerns you’ve raised and request additional information to help me better assist you.

    • Crashes product descriptions: Could you tell me more about this issue? It’s not clear how the plugin would crash the product description. Perhaps you mean that it’s not syncing the correct product description. Please clarify if that’s the case.
    • Shipping policy stuck in our Google Merchant Center account: Just to be sure we’re on the same page, are you saying in your case the shipping rates synced from WooCommerce to Merchant Center weren’t removed after uninstalling the plugin? Please confirm so we can look into the issue on our end.

Lastly, I’m glad to hear you found our support helpful. If you can share a link or provide the ticket number for the ongoing conversation, that’ll help me locate it and help you further.

    Hi @coolboy0010,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience.

Please spare a moment to share additional information on the issue so we can help you resolve it. If you have a screenshot, please share it via https://quickforget.com/ (upload it there and share the link here)

    Hi @kallekid,

    Thank you for your response.

The problem is that we need to activate the synchronization on all of the subdomains and connect it into one merchant center account.

The issue is that you’re trying to connect the same merchant center account to multiple sub-domains, which is currently not possible. Sub-domains are treated as different sites, so each connection to a sub-domain is same as attempting a connection on another site. This means you’d have to override the connection to the previous domain. (Each new setup will impact the previous one)

Just to clarify, even if it was technically possible to connect the same merchant center account to different sub-domains (which it’s not), it’ll be a bad idea as a connection or account issue on one site would impact the other sub-domains. (there would also be a conflict if any of the sub-domains is using a different currency, etc.)

While I understand your preference is to connect the same merchant center account to all sub-domains, the recommended approach is to create a seperate merchant center account for all sub-domains. Use the same email, but create a new merchant center account for each sub-domain. This will allow you to manage all sub-domains merchant center account from one Google account. This way, you’ll be able to switch between the accounts in merchant center.

By the way, in the future, when sharing a screenshot with personal information with us, please use https://quickforget.com/. (I’ve pinged the forum moderators to remove your screenshots as it contains your email and merchant center ID)

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @galapogos01,

Yes, I did but I couldn’t find your site information to allow me to take a look. (I also confused your issue with the initial report)

Per the forum rules, please start a new thread and share your site information so we can help further.

    Hi @galapogos01

I can’t replicate the issue on the latest version of the plugin.

To help me better assist you, please send me a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Download for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please upload it to https://quickforget.com and share the link here.

    Hi @coshos

Please provide additional information on the issue you’re seeing to help us know what to look into.

Also, is your site by any chance targeting users in the EEA/UK or Switzerland? I’m asking as recent GDPR law requires users in those locations to grant cookie consent before analytics data is captured. We implemented this in 2.0.0 (2024-03-05) to comply with regulatory laws.

    Hi @orloxgr

    Thanks for your response.

Its not so simple?@sukafia. If the wordpress.com account differs from the google merchant account for some reason the plugin simply doesn’t work.

I confirm using the same account (email) for Google and WordPress.com isn’t a requirement. I double-checked while typing this response and the setup works when the emails differ. No logic in the extension checks if both emails are the same and there’s no connection between a Google and WordPress.com account.

I suspect there was some other issue with the connection. If you’d like us to take a deeper look at your experience, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done. Thanks!

    Hi @brunopenner

Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

    Hi @danedmunds123

Is your site targeting users in the EEA/EU/UK region?

I’m asking as Google introduced Consent Mode in March 2024 to comply with privacy laws in the EEA/EU/UK region. This means website visitors from these regions must now explicitly grant consent for cookies before any analytics tracking occurs.

Without consent, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads won’t capture data from users in these locations. To ensure continued tracking, you’ll need to implement Consent Tracking through third-party plugins like the ComplianzConsent Mode API, etc.

Due to this new requirement, you may notice a discrepancy between your store and Google Analytics/Ads data, as users must grant consent for analytics data to be captured.
