My previous post doesn’t seem clear

by values i mean

your first query had query_post(“cat=1&posts_per_page=10”);

and second query_post(“posts_per_page=8”);

It would change the posts_per_page for second query but not category, if i m right please somebody confirm;

@jrgould use category_name instead of cat might work;

I have different problem, did any one here have two query_posts in same page, i found that the second query_posts seems to preserve the previous query_post value, and only changes the values we used.

Can anybody confirm, and if so then how to reset it.

I found the way,

I used Manage – > Page and created a page with the name i wanted to be in url and added the custom page template to it.

Hell it was definetly a idiotic post……….

But i wanted something like this

https://yoursite.com/custom-page-name/

or

https://yoursite.com/someway-that-wordpress-identifies-i-m-asking-for-this-page/

May be my problem is not with permalink, may be i don’t know how to link a custom-page with wordpress

can you help on this.

what i meant was rather than using url like this https://yoursite.com/?r_sortby=most_rated&r_orderby=desc

i want to use URL like url like this https://yoursite.com/page-name/

is somebody smart here
