In reply to: Trouble inserting a videoWell I tried it and it didn’t work for me. ??
I copied and pasted exactly what you typed out, the first part in the TEXT editor and the other in the custom CSS. I double checked it all after the video appeared the same way as before.
Are you sure you don’t have a typo of some sort?
Thanks for your help, by the way.

In reply to: Trouble inserting a videoThank you for your replies.
WPyogi, when I enter code as suggested in the link you gave me, it does the same thing. Short and wide frame. I’m thinking more and more this is a bug with my theme. Frustrating.
2niner, I have the Advanced Tinymce plugin and I don’t see any buttons for videos at all. I also have Ultimate Tinymce, which has two youtube button options, but I can’t get either to work.
Hopefully someone in the my theme forum (Pinboard) can help me. Surely other people with my theme are inserting videos.
Thanks Jeremy.
Thank you Jeremy! You truly happiness. ??
I was afraid to “remove” anything, since I wasn’t sure what exactly to remove, but changed I changed “twocol” to “onecol” where it showed up twice in the sidebar.php.
I have my layout set to 4 columns, with the sidebar counting as one of the columns. It only shows four when the screen is opened wide enough. Before I changed the sidebar.php, I messed with the variations of layout and my image on the right did get larger with other layout options, yet there was also a white space to the right of it, about the same size as the image, so it did make sense that there was a two column thing happening.
Can you tell me what the sidebar boxes are? I have a layout option called “Boxes Sidebar Columns” and can set it to 2, 3 or 4. I thought maybe it referred to vertical space within the column, and gives me a choice of 2, 3 or 4 “boxes” to put widgets in. Is that correct?
I appreciate it. It’s the tiny ad on the right.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adWow. Sweet! It seems to have worked.
I still have a small glitch, though. Instead of having a huge space, now the ad is kind of smashed up into the “Like this” area. Here’s an example. I’m looking at it on Safari, so I don’t know if it’s a browser thing. Here’s a link. Scroll to the bottom.

I would also like to be able to put it within the content with the text wrapped around it. Could you tell me exactly how to do that? What code I enter and where specifically I enter it? Here is the code for the ad in the above link.
<iframe src=”https://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=wwwjennifersu-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=B0092XNAF8&IS1=1&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&fc1=000000<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=3B7827&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&npa=1&f=ifr” style=”width:120px;height:240px;” scrolling=”no” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ frameborder=”0″></iframe>
THANK YOU!!!
I won’t be able to work on this until tomorrow now, but I’m excited for the progress. ??

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adWell, at least you helped me figure out it was a problem with the theme. And it wasn’t just me being crazy! ??
I’m going to try a pluggin next. I had tried some originally and I was having problems then, too, just getting an ad to appear at all. However, that was before I learned I’m supposed to be putting the html into the text editor. Since then, I haven’t even tried any plugging, which have all just been confusing to me. I got an adsense pluggin working, and I can put Amazon ads in my sidebar, but getting them in the post has been problematic to say the least.
If you have any tips on an easy to use pluggin for what I’m trying to accomplish I’m all ears, since there are a gazillion to choose from.
Thanks again.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adBummer. So, unless you have any grand ideas, my options are to either choose a different theme, or link to my Amazon ads differently. Either use an image only, text only, or link the ad to words within my content or something.
Hmmmm. Well, let me know if you come up with anything else. Again, I appreciate your help.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adOH . . . okay. Well, all my posts are in “Standard” format. It’s my default and I just checked the test post I made to make sure and it is.
I wonder if when you are in Pinboard mode, if you can put an Amazon ad. I don’t seem to have trouble with “image only” by the way, and I’m pretty sure I tried “text only” before and it worked. It’s just “text with image” that has the issues.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adWell, I don’t even know how to select “video” or see if it is already selected.
I don’t know the answer to the question about custom post types, but I’m trying to research it right now.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adFirst of all, I really appreciate you trying to help me, so thank you.
I did as you said. I created a new post. Here are the steps took:
– Add new post
– So this wouldn’t get published to my subscribers, I put it in private mode with password: test
– It was in Visual mode when I wrote a sentence or two
– I switched to Text mode
– I went to Amazon Associates, found an item, selected it and copied the code
– I pasted it into the Text editor just below the text I had written
– The cursor was on the line directly below the last line of code
– I deleted that last space moving the cursor up to ensure there was no added space
Here’s the link: https://blissfulmiss.com/test-post/

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adI’m confused. Are you saying you’re seeing that code in my ad code? Cause I don’t see it. If not, I don’t know what you’re referring to.
I don’t have any videos on my site.

In reply to: How to get rid of large space after Amazon adOkay, I tried adding <div> before the code and </div> after. Is that how you wrap it? If so, it didn’t work.
