True, this plugin directly modify the content’s dom data (modify image attributes) it is possible to break something. Disable all GIFs sounds weird, only post’s content part touched. I’m always happy to get new templates for test, so I can improve it.

Currently you can overwrite the generated image. Easy to find, just right click on the preview image for get something like this:
Thanks for your message. The current version of the plugin only works with self-hosted images. If you embed the gif from somewhere eldr it doesn’t work yet.
Thanks for your feedback. This plugin requires at least PHP 5.4 with GD support, I think this cause the problem. I’ve just added the version check to the plugin.
