The photos of the attractions are quite fascinating. the sheer amount of text tends to overwhelm me. I look forward to visiting China one day–I want to see the Nu River, I hear its amazing and rivals the Grand Canyon in the USA

The design is clean and content oriented. If this is a one man blog, I am amazed at the range of interests you cover. From Mississippi Blues to boxing to Japanese bakeries . . . you are a true New Yorker!

The coding works perfectly from what I see. It is an ambitious design! I don’t feel qualified to comment on the overall color scheme because what is suitable varies from culture to culture. However, I do feel that the main content is a bit difficult to read because there is not enough contrast with the background–it makes the eye work harder to read the text and that may discourage readers. Otherwise a nice web site!

The graphics and design from the navbar down look fine. Everything in top panel, especially the main graphic just doesn’t grab me. I would have liked a great color shot there, the black and white seems to lose impact. A well chosen photo in the top bar woud make a real difference to the design.

You’ve chosen a unique theme and layout. However, given the fact that you discuss art, the color palette should use more color as well, perhaps more of a watercolors feel. Also, I think a larger splashier graphic on the home page perhaps featuring a work from an artist of the month would whet the appetite of viewers coming to the site and give people even more reason to bookmark the site and return.

Well organized content! However, the shade of cyan used as a background color feels very cold and detracts from the warm, appealing vacation destinations you feature in the photos. Try using warmer pastel colors that get people thinking about the outdoors and nature. Perhaps moving towards blues or warm greens as a backgrounf color.

Clean look and bold graphics fit the subject well. I think it needs a bold visual element at the top of the home page to anchor the page and grab the eye. Otherwise very nice.
