  • Dear Jeremy,

Thanks ffor the further comments. I will be in touch soon to obtain a copy of this new version (although, I might not use it in view of one of your previous comments).

I will likely also look to politely complain (hope you don’t mind) to WordPress directly about the manner in which they have treated you and handled tthis situation. Perhaps it will persuade WP to reconsider.

If that’s OK with you, I’d encourage others who use your plugin(s) to do the same – politely raise the issue with WP and encourage them to reacrivate your plugin.

    Thanks again.

    Sincerely,

    SA

    Dear Jeremy,

    This is sad news!

Out of interest, did WordPress give you any feedback as to why your proposed solution was unacceptable?

Otherwise, I’d like to thank you for your work on, and support of, this plugin over many years.

Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.

    Sincerely,

    SA

    Dear Jeremy,

Thanks vvery much for the detailed explanation. It does seem to be a scenario that’s highly unlikely to occur.

In light of your clarification I’ll leave matterscas they are.

Again, thanks a lot for the plugin and for yiour continued support and development of it. As well as your taking the time to respond on this forum.

    Sincerely ,

    SA

    Dear Jeremy,

    I hope you are well.

I’ve been following this thread, and wonder what the issue is/was with the plugin that led it to being suspended? Is it a very serious issue?

As I’m using a different version of the plugin and it’s continued to function as normal. However, once the newly patched updated plugin is released, I suppose will no doubt have to get it reworked to permit it to function in the manner it currently does, while benefiting from the security patch.

At any rate, thanks for your ongoing support with this plugin – greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    SA

Thanks for the clarification. I’ll keep this in mind and consider what other options may be availble. all the best.

So, here’s the problem, if I understood you correctly. I wanted the email option just in case I have a problem with the authenticator app. As my phone went faulty recently, I could have been unable to log into the site (having no access to the authenticator). Fortunately, I was able to use another phone and retrieve the authenticator codes when reinstalling the app.

However, I was hoping setting up the email would allow me the **choice** of receiving the code by either email or via the authenticator – this would be ideal.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply.

Basically, I have been using Google Authenticator to generate a code to log in. However, yesterday I opted to try and setup the option to receive a code via email. However, when I’m presented with the login screen I am still only given the option to login with Google Authenticator, and have no option to log in using email, and I do not receive a code via email.

Furthermore, there is no resend button (never has been). This is the message I receive at login:

‘Please enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) verification code below to login. Depending on your 2FA setup, you can get the code from the 2FA app or it was sent to you by email.

Note: if you are supposed to receive an email but did not receive any, please click the Resend Code button to request another code.

And yes, I did follow the setup wizard and installed the recommended SMTP plugin and used the option for GMAIL.

    Hi,

I don’t want to impose, but you need to correctly format the link with HTML markup.

    See:

Hope it helps… (that website has certainly helped me a few times with my own quotes)…

    Dear Jeremy,

The work I’m having done on your plugin is nearing completion. I don’t have the full details yet, but can confirm that a certain change does now draw the information from my device and displays the quote accordingly. One way I tested this was by deliberately changing my system date; The quote on my website altered acordingly.

There’s a minor issue to resolve (at least I hope it’s minor), related to the Short Code (I now must use a different Short Code line than what you supplied).

At any rate, I’m wondering if, when it’s completed, you want to take a look at the files? If so, can you indicate where I can send them to you? Otherwise, if not, I guess I will happily use it myself lol.

    All the best.

    Hello Jeremy,

Thanks for the response – much appreciated.

I will feed back your comments to the person who is lending me their assistance, and see what they can make of it.

Hopefully, it can be resolved. At any rate, I’ve given it a try – regardless of what happens!

    Sincerely,

    Dear Jeremy,

Thanks very much for your response.

I’m currently searching for an individual to customise the code/plugin to implement the desired change. If and when this is done I will certainly bring it to you for consideration.

Thanks, too, to you personally for your ongoing support of this plugin.

    All the best.
