In reply to: can i use features of wordpressWell all you have to do its create a home.php for any theme that you like.
That way you can control exactly whats on your home page, include any html and css that you like, plus any WordPress functions you like.Sounds like you really just need to create your own theme for your CMS site ?? But look around and I’m sure you’ll find a CMS like theme to suit your needs and save yourself some time.

In reply to: Going "Live"I agree I cant see any new posts there. Sounds like you are doing the right thing though.
A cache plugin stores a static copy of your website, usually used to speed up a heavily visited website. They can cause confusion as they sometimes cause pages and posts not to update immediately unless you force them to clear the cache and store the update pages and posts.
If you do have one of these installed (which you would probably know if you did), you should turn it off for now.
Are you sure your posts are not being published to ‘draft’. You will know this if your posts are listed with the words ‘draft’ next to them.

In reply to: Wonky screen since updating WordPressMaybe the CSS for your admin is stuck in your browser cache.
Try clearing your browser cache, or maybe also have a look at your site using a different browser (as a sanity check)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: can i use features of wordpressYes, sure you can.
You just need to use a theme that allows you to turn off the blog style elements or just use pages instead of posts. If you want to allow people to post/chat on your site then you could combine WordPress with bbpress forum (like the one used here on www.remarpro.com)try logging in via ftp or your web host control panel and temporarily remove the colorway theme from wp-content/themes. That might give you access again.

In reply to: Fatal Error on Line 20 – Nothing will loadMaybe a plugin is not working correctly with the new 3.5.
Try going into your site via ftp or web host control panel and temporarily remove your plugins. That might give you control back.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Going "Live"Looking at your site you dont seem to have a cache plugin as far as I can see.
If you describe the steps you are taking to create a post and publish it then it will be easier to figure out.
You’ll find that the Commercial HeatMap Theme Pro version available from HeatMapTheme.com is up to date with 3.1.x features, and continues to be developed and fully supported.

In reply to: Heatmap theme and HostGatorI have a fix for the Heatmap theme / Hostgator issue now, but currently only on version 3.0.3 which is on my forum (it took way longer than I would have like to solve – tricky thing!) When I get some spare time for updating the 2.5.x branch I’ll pop the new code in the version available here too.

Heatmap theme version requires 2.9 or greaterForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: error when i change a new themeI suspect you are running an old version of WordPress.
Heatmap Theme uses ad thumbnail support which requires version 2.9 upwards
I suggest you upgrade immediately – its sensible to do that for lots of reasons.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: HeatMap Theme 2.5.3 updateBTW you will need to be running version WordPress 2.9.x to install and run HeatMap Theme 2.5.3.
Its a very sensible idea to keep up to date with your WordPress version ??

In reply to: HeatMap Theme 2.5.2 updateYou may have to delete your original Heatmap Theme install, or at least rename the folder in which it resides. (suggest you backup first though)
