In reply to: [Z-URL Preview] UI QuestionHad a quick look and it will be difficult to change the icon in the settings – besides which I can only draw squares.
One option, which probably would be for the weekend is to give an option of an icon or a text button with a label. The downside is that it would take up more space than an image icon.
For now, I’ve added a setting to select which row the icon appears on (1, 2 or 3).

The one you linked, thank you, is down to relative image links, e.g.
src="images/logo3.gif".I’ve added a check in v1.4.6 that fixes this (I believe, checked very quickly).
In theory, it also needs to check for base href in the page source, as that should be there when relative links are used. That site doesn’t use one though, so is relying on the default “/” base.

I can see how either could help, depending upon the source page, as I often put a variation of the source page’s h1 as the article title, but I’m not sure the editor is meant to do that. I will check to see if it’s possible though.
Even if it is I need to make it a configurable option.

Given your followups where you do see the button, I can only guess it’s a problem with the source URL.

What specific URL fails? As some sites do not parse well ?? Try a “standard” news.bbc.co.uk news article to see if it is a problem with the target URL/site or the plug-in.
If some URL’s/sites fail, but others work, then it’s a parsing issue. In which case I will need a specific URL to attempt to fix it for that site.
Some sites will never work, but specific URL’s will let me try and fix the problem for main-stream sites.

- WP 4.3.1
- Z-URL Preview 1.4.4 (although nothing about MCE has changed since release)
- Black Studio TinyMCE Widget 2.2.8
The button showed up on the toolbar.
