How do I unarchive it in the plugin folder? Is this done in the WordPress dashboard or the FTP client? I upload the file but nothing happens on the WordPress side??

With the FTP I uploaded the Google Sitemap but it did not show up on the dashboard, any ideas what I did wrong? Do I upload the whole Zip file or part of it. If so which part?

Thank you for that. Can I ask what the difference is between installing plugins via FTP (with a hosting company) and through the WordPress dashboard? It is so much easier through WordPress. I did see somewhere that I would have to modify the settigs on my hosting company to allow this to happen… is this true?
