Still can’t find a solution. I can’t find anyone having similar problems on a WordPress site when I search on Google.

I have tried deactivating plugins, but still no luck. Any ideas on things that could be causing the problem?

Any files I should look at? htaccess?

I went ahead and upgraded WordPress. Thanks for the tip. Didn’t know how real the security threat was.

I want to try deactivating plug ins, but do I run the risk of having losing settings or data. Do all plugins save the settings and data so I can reactivate and be right where I left off?

I figured out the problem. The posts I had were private so the related tags and categories were not showing. Didn’t think it would do that. I tested by making them public and that fixed everything. Strangely though some tags WERE still showing in the sidebar even with the posts marked private. Things look ok now. Thanks for the replies.

To which plugin are you referring? Jetpack or the shortcode plugin?

The tag cloud widget that is not working (along with some other tag functionality like in the post editor) is the default tag cloud widget that comes with WordPress. Unless I am mistaken. I am not using a plugin to get the widget as far as I know.

Do you not have a widget called tag cloud. If it comes from a plugin, it has to be Jetpack.

There are some very important functionalities on the website that are dependent on the plugin.

I am also doubtful since I have had the plugin all along and it was working fine before.

Everything is up to date. I just udpated WordPress to 3.5.2 and all of my plugins are up to date except for one shortcode plugin that I am hesitant to update.

Are you talking about the plugin or the program? You website is only showing up to version 2.8 and the plugin will only update to 2.7. What is going on???

Can you please offer a little guidance on how to add the content in the beginning of the WOWSlider script?

Where do I go to edit the WOWSlider script? I clicked on edit and looked over the files, but I can’t find where you are wanting my to paste in the code from the link you specified.

I appreciate the response, but even after installing and activating the jQuery Migration plugin my slider is still one static image.

It looks like the plugin is part of jetpack (I know now that it isn’t a part of SEO Ultimate) although it seemed to be under SEO Ultimate when I looked at the head in my source code. I am playing with Jetpack now, but still nothing is changing. About to reinstall the Wowslider plugin.

Ok. Even after downgrading to the older version of the plug in that is cooperating with wowslider on my other website, I am still not having any luck. I am not sure that this is the problem. What makes you think so?

That jquery is part of a plug in called SEO Ultimate. I tried disabling the SEO Ultimate (which I NEED) just to see if it would make a difference. Still nothing. I did not try removing the plugin completely because it has important SEO information that I don’t want to risk losing.

I have the same plugin on another website https://www.homecarepulse.com/ and the Wowslider works just fine there… given I am running SEO Ultimate 7.5.7 on that site where it is working and the newest version 7.6.1 on bestofhomecare.com where it is NOT.

Is there a way to disable the specific plugin temporarily without removing the plugin all together? This is really frustrating.
