Well.. it was a tiny, tiny website – but there is just nothing about my all-in-one experience that I wanted to prolong by contacting and waiting for a ticket of some kind. and a premium subscription for one migration? I did it the old fashioned way – copying files and a database over. took me 1/4 of the time I spent trying to get your program to work.. between the freezing at 1% or 0% or 0.85% and the time I spent having to increase my file upload size. then finding out the answer to the freezing was a 99dollar backup plugin.. oh.. i’d already uploaded the backup before I found out I couldn’t use that feature without paying a heap of cash. forget it. just forget it. you guys completely wasted my time

Look, I’m sorry, but here’s the thing, it’s the version I downloaded yesterday morning through wordpress – and I spent 3 1/2 hours trying to get it to work… and there is only so much time that someone can spend trying to get something to work before you have to give up.
I could have asked for support, waited another day, tried some more … Maybe your update is awesome now! that’s great for anyone else who gets the theme, but the fresh download which I got just yesterday – was either too un-intuitive for me to work (and I’m not a beginner ) – or it just wasn’t fit for purpose. I could have gone in and built a child theme, and edited the php to fix some of those issues.. but should I have to do that? My time is valuable, and I had put aside yesterday only to build a website for a small charity I donate my time to.

I’ve slightly updated the review to indicate you say you’ve fixed all the problems now.

@karenafox – I tried for ages – but the only method I found which worked was searching the theme code as in Ebaad’s solution above and changing it:

 case is_archive() :

                        /* ADDED EVENT TITLE TO REPLACE ARCHIVE IN EVENT CALENDAR POSTS --- EA 01/03/2019*/
                        //$title = wp_strip_all_tags( get_the_archive_title() );
                        $title = esc_html__('Events', 'primer');
                        break;

So sadly, it’s not easy, but it works great!

@ebaad — You are an absolute genius!

I found a similar snippet in my theme (after much searching theme/inc/hook/custom.php) and changed it.
I’ll set about setting up a child theme next so that I don’t lose that little bit of your genius in my next upgrade

I also can’t see any of the demos on www.remarpro.com – all I get when I click ‘view preview’ is unstyled content

The weird thing is, it WAS working quite well and then stopped quite recently.

I’ve reactivated the plugin and you should be able to see the error now – the comment form is standard wordpress. the contact form is not but I integrated it using the instructions given in directions, and it was working. The one bit that IS working, is the captcha for logging into admin.

Just so you know – i’ve deactivated the plugin right now so that people can leave comments – I’ll activate it straight away when you’re ready to see

Follow up note: it’s also doing this when you use the traditional type 1 reCaptcha (I enter the correct words, and it still comes back error)
