    I found out there was a conflict with another plugin (Register Plus Redux). Removed that and everything’s fine again.

    Hi Mat, Thanks for the instant response.

    First issue: I see. And wonder if that’s a programmer’s choice or just how things work, because it doesn’t make much sense to me.
    Other than that, I’ve done some experimenting and it seems that any top level page suppresses the menu, so it’s not just the homepage.

    Second issue: I set the Levels to 5, but still no menu anywhere when ‘Always Display’ is selected.

    It may a compatibility or themes issue, but anyway I’ve found another plugin that does the trick for the top level pages, so I’m not as lost as I was.
