  • i’m getting the same message (wp 2.2) but making wp-content (and uploads/) chmod 777 hasn’t helped. it all works fine on the dev/test instance i have on my (OSX) laptop but unfortunately the live site is being hosted on a server i don’t have shell access to so it’s quite frustrating…

    Looks like an official solution has just been posted in the WordPress Trac!

    any luck with that? i tried it but now i just get

    Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/httpd/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-pop3.php on line 374

    and i’ve tripled-checked my mods against the Trac code…

    guess i’ll go and try the earlier suggestion from above…
