Disable Gutenberg, is one of the first plugins I install, Disables Gutenberg Block Editor and restores the Classic Editor and original Edit Post screen. Provides options to enable on specific post types, user roles, and more.

my question was like a pre-sales question, so my question now is, have you found that clearing both server and browser cache solves the problem?

did you find out what was causing this?

Thanks for that, it has put the nail in the coffin for that server, I have transferred everything over to something more reputable, checked and all seems to be working fine now, thanks to everyone for your help, much appreciated.

hey been doing websites that long who keeps track of changing from html in notepad and dreamweaver to wordpress, all I know it was a big win ?? and I still find myself working in notepad with php at times.

yes you have seen exactly what happens for one of our developers, we have been building wordpress sites for almost 20years and not seen that happen before.

I would think so I have WHM and cPanel I don’t think they come with windows hosting but don’t know as I’ve never used that.

I have done that and it already shows tracking type analytics and gtag is off
Version is 5.3.7
Site is https://transportinaustralia.com.au
in tracking settings it shows https://transportinaustralia.com.au (without the s)
Tag assistant still shows multiple installations of gtag.js

google tag assistant tells me I need to update to analytics.js so how do I switch it over?
