Thanks Micah. I did actually try that and I should have mentioned it. When I upgraded PHP a bunch of stuff broke so I backed it off. I haven’t tried to update MySQL but that all seems to be working. I can get in with PHPMyAdmin and maniulate the data in the SQL tables.

I’m going to try a reboot this weekend when no one’s around and see if that helps, but I’m doubtful.

There’s a pretty thorough check list of thing to try when having login issues. Perhaps you need to try to edit the databast manually and create a new admin account?

Reading through the posts with other people’s similar issues, I think the only thing I haven’t tried is a reboot of the host server.

Anyone have a better suggestion?

EagerExistence: Glad you fixed your issue – in my case I already tried the suggestion in that article:

?Delete all of the plugins in the plugins directory on the server

I’m still having the issue… from a casual user perspective the site is fine, but no one can log in to it.

What part of NH? I run a technology user group on the seacoast (see sea-tug.com). We haven’t talked about WP in the past, but could add it to the list of topics.

Lknighten – try installing this plug-in. It worked for me and is listed in the master 3.1 issues list as an IIS issue of Infinite redirects on IIS servers:
