In reply to: [Simple Calendar - Google Calendar Plugin] Better go back to v2.4Can you do that? I tried to get another Google Calendar plug-in, and it wouldn’t work using the API, so I thought maybe you can’t run two calendars using the same API. Shut down the Simply Stupid version and it still didn’t work. How can one go back to the old calendar?

In reply to: Sidebar migrated to the footer, messing up footer widgets! If anyone has checked out the WesternHeritageLeather.com site and saw that the sidebar and footer are still intact, please let me know. Otherwise, I could really use some help figuring this out, because all the contact information is at the top of the sidebar.
Thanks,
SteveBrad,
Sorry I didn’t see this til an hour ago. Thanks for the effort, but I don’t have the same inspector/developer tool you do, so I don’t have the Child Function step you do at the end. I did try Firebug, and somehow enlarged the logo, but I don’t know how to save it. If you are around and have a sec, I would love some help.
You should let the powers-that-be know that the notification system is not working, because I was not notified of your note. I will keep this up on my screen, so I don’t miss you again.
Thanks,
Steve

No more recs, though?! I am bummed…thought I could wrap this up today.
Any further help will be appreciated!

In reply to: How to modify a custom Header, using CSS/HTML?To answer both of the responses, it is a custom theme, I believe, since what comes up is an image of the website’s home page, and the name of the site, for a theme name. The developer’s name is also there. Secondly, all that comes up on the Appearance menu is Edit CSS…no “Editor” tab, as I have seen before.
All I am trying to do is replace the line on the header “Call Jerry at [phone number]”, with “Email Us at [email address]”, and have that change on the header for all pages.
Thanks,
Steve

SteveHey~
Don’t know how to use that site…do I make a text file of the 240 urls and then plug it into the the Ripper? What will that produce?
Thanks,
SteveJames,
Thanks for the recs! I hit the archive.org site and tried the Wayback machine, and after a couple of mis-starts, I landed on what may be the motherlode!!
https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://foreclosurecampus.com/*
It is kind of a mess to have to sort through 240 pages of old content and even some code. Either way, I passed on the results and our exchange, and I am very grateful to you!
Thanks very much!!

Got most of the structure back by plugging 1600 lines of css code into the custom code window, and retrieving the php code from a previous thread. Almost back to square #1, not #-4…yay!!
Steve
ps – I am bummed the email notification for this board doesn’t work.
Removing whatever I removed totally removed all structure to the site, equinoxpdx.com.
Hey Stephen,
You were a great help last time I had a major issue with screwing up the CSS code, and I was just going to read over what you recommended about using FTP. I have the Prose and Genesis CSS stylesheets on Pastebin, and they are still intact in WordPress, but by resetting the Custom Code, I also deleted the php. Should that be retrievable using that FTP approach again?
Thanks,
Steve
That’s an idea, but I have gotten more helpful responses in the past, regardless if my question involved “commercial themes”, or not. I am asking for help with the mechanics of WordPress CSS Editor, not about particular features of the themes.
What I really need is the custom code that I reset, or deleted, so that I can at least get the site back to a legible condition.
Any other ideas, please?!
Thanks,
Steve
Man, Craigslist puts this place to shame, as far as being helpful and responsive. I posted the gist of my problem on the computers gigs board, admittedly offering up to $50 for help, and I got about 5 responses from people just referring me to their business sites, and I also got about 7 from people offering suggestions for dealing with it myself. All that, within the first hour my post was up.
Interesting the range of ideas I received.
Steve
Thanks for taking an interest in helping me solve this 5 month old problem!
I have put the Genesis and Prose stylesheets in Pastebin files, accessible at:
I looked, or searched through each and didn’t find exactly what alchymyth had mentioned.
Again, the website is equinoxpdx.com and the issue is the behavior of the sidebar when seen on smaller screens. It drops to the bottom of the page, leaving blank space. I would like to make this a responsive width, but I don’t know if that is possible with the theme/child arrangement.
Thanks and I hope to hear back on this. My email is [email protected], and please shoot me a note telling me if you post, because the email notification on this forum is not working, or hasn’t in the past.
Best,
Steve Keller
