To the plug-in team. I am having basically the same error but it is not related to your plug in. I appears to be in my theme. Can you please tell me what was needed to fix your plug in so I have some direction to fix my issue?

After my last post I went in to the settings in wp and into the CC account and messed around with them… the message I received that was in question was the ‘Success message’ I had set up for that list in wp… sorry that wasn’t more clear. I also wish I had more details on what I changed… but since I made changes everything seems to be working. Logs are appearing, sogn-up emails are being received and sign-ups are showing up on the list…

So I just checked and the error is back… when I checked the log-file it says:
We are not able to write to the /var/www/wp-content/uploads/ctct-logs/constant-contact-errors.log file.

This has been updated to the newest version since you recommended it 3 weeks ago… my client reports that he has had zero sign-ups about the last month… which is highly unusual…

I just tried to sign-up through the website widget and I get “You will receive an email which you will need to follow in order to be added to the mailing list. Please check your email.” BUT I do not receive any email to confirm.

Strange.. I reactivated it and the site is up and running no errors now… made no changes.. but I’m concerned that this issue will happen again.. can you advise?

Same issue.. using GoDaddy WordPres Hosting.. let me know what else you need.
I try to install plug-in and it says installing, then says installed. When I click Activate it says “Plugin file does not exist.” and when I go back to plug-ins it doesn’t show in my list and if I search again for it in add plugins is says ‘Install”

So I deactivated and deleted the timed-content files and folder from the server. I downloaded the zip file from the link you provided, unzipped and uploaded the files to the plug-ins directory. I activated the plug-in and still get the same results..

The current timed-content.php file in the /wp-content/plugins/timed-content folder has a file size of 111,942 and it says:

Perhaps I am not understnading thes setting right… I have Email opt-in
Enabling > Opt-in checkbox: checked
Is that possibly bypassing the opt-in email?

Follow up… since launching the new version you provided we have only had one capture which could very well be a legit one… not sure but even if it is spam it is a huge improvement… I do have an Akismet API key in place.

So the only issue we have it the lack of the opt in email… so we are going to go back to the plug in taht we were using but if you need anything else tested please let me know.

Good news, Bad News.. 3 hours and zero spam submitions so far… BUT I tested and signed up and the email to the website owner was received saying “Great News: You just captured a new visitor submission” but the opt-in email that I should have received to complete the sign up was not received… I tested several times with several different email addresses that I have and each time the “Great News: You just captured a new visitor submission” was received but not the opt in… I checked spam and junk folders… that email is not received. Thoughts?
