For me, it was the MySQL password problem. I used the auto password generated by cPanel (when you create mysql user) and it contained characters EZPZ had trouble with.
I changed the MySQL user pass and that fixed it.

=> then db host, you can use the server name (without “databasename).”) or your own domain name. I recommend using your domain name https://www.yourdomain.com (since server name shall get changed in the future, we never know)

When you say disappeared, do you mean your blog is now at the “like new” state with the initial sample post OR you get a blank page?

Your host knows the server configuration and can help you better. I guess you need to set permission 777 to both of these folders for it to work
