  • Hi @thirstyjon,
Glad you reached out! I’ll need a little more information to get to the bottom of things, here.

First, send along your system information. You can do this by navigating to Donations > Tools > System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here.

I’d also like to take a look at the site from the front end, so if you could send along the URL that would be a big help.

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Hi there,

Glad you reached out! PDF Receipts is a premium add-on that by forum rules we can’t provide support for here. I’ll include some information below for you to follow up with us.

You can find the email tag you would like to include by navigating to one of your forms and opening the Form Field Manager tab. From there, you will see your form fields. You can click to open one, and a number of field options will open. Look for the one labeled “Email Tag”, and you can copy and paste that tag right on in to your PDF receipt.

We’d be happy to help if you have more questions about PDF Receipts, so please reach out to us here: https://givewp.com/priority-support/

Thanks for choosing GiveWP and have a great day!

    Hi there,
    Glad you reached out!

At the moment, we don’t have an integration with Bizum, but it is a feature request we are tracking here: https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/use-the-bizum-payment-gateway

We are actively tracking user feedback to gauge the interest in this particular feature, which means your feedback about this is important. You can use this link to check in for updates, or to provide additional details of your own. I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so when the issue is resolved we can reach back out to update you.

As an option in the meantime, you might want to take a look at our documentation for creating a custom payment gateway: https://givewp.com/documentation/developers/how-to-build-a-gateway-add-on-for-givewp/

Thanks for choosing GiveWP, have a great day!

    Hi @imagine2006
Glad you reached out, this is a great question. You can do something like this a couple of different ways. Some of these suggestions include premium add-ons, which by forum rules I cannot support here on this forum. I’ll include a link below where you can reach out about questions for those add-ons:

If you are looking to raise donations for a registered website user, your best bet would be to set up individual donation forms per-person, and then manually sending out the donations to those people as they are collected.

Peer-to-Peer could work, as it allows donors to donate to specific fundraisers, which in this case could be your individuals. If you’d like to learn more about this one, you’ll want to reach out using the support link down below.

Another option that would fit is the Funds and Designations add-on. I’ve linked the documentation, but again if you have questions about this one, reach out to use at the support link below.

We don’t have an automated process in place for this, but I would be happy to create a feature request for you. I’d like to gather a few more details about how you would use this type of feature. If you could send along some additional details or examples of how you would like to use this type of feature I can put together a feature request for you.

If you have questions about Peer-to-Peer or Funds and Designations, the best place to ask those questions is here: https://givewp.com/priority-support/ Send us a message and our team will be in touch.

Let me know if you have questions about this, I’m happy to help.

    Hi @imagine2006,

I see you posted a second question with more details. I’m going to mark this as resolved, and I will follow up with you on the other ticket.

    Have a great day!

    Hey @jasoncharlesstuartking,

Glad you reached out, I can explain how this part of the Google Analytics add-on works.

When a new donor accesses a donation form, we treat donor access as a new session, and do not track the the original channel the donor arrives from. The result is that Google Analytics will attribute the visit to Direct traffic. This is the intended behavior for the plugin.

We would love to hear from you about what you think that can be done to improve the Google Analytics add-on. Understanding how you would like the add-on to work, and improve your workflow, will help give the product development team some insight into how it should behave.

The Google Analytics add-on is a premium add-on so we aren’t able to support it here. You can message us via Priority Support here https://givewp.com/priority-support and our team will be in touch soon.

Thanks for using GiveWP! Have a great day.

    Hi @huzaifaahmed,

I hear you! I wish there were a safe way to do what you are looking for, but when you are working with donation data the database migration is really the best and safest way to go.

I’ll go ahead and mark this issue as resolved for now. If you bump into trouble while migrating, you can open a new ticket here on the forum and we’ll be happy to help. Best of luck with the migration!

    Hi @miorchestraboosters,
Glad you reached out about this, we would love to gather more information about that error so we can dig into that error code your donors are seeing.

Let’s take a look at your error logs, they will help give some valuable context while we are investing things here. You can do this by navigating to Dashboard > Donations > Tools > Logs.

From there, you’ll see a list of things that have been happening on your site. Look for errors that correlate to the donations that received that error message. When you see one, click the eyeball icon next to it to open up a detailed view, and then copy/paste and send it along to me.These logs will give me a good foundation to work from.

One other helpful piece of information will be your system information. You see this by navigating to Donations > Tools > System Info (tab) and clicking the button to “Get System Report” and copy/pasting that information in your reply here.

Let me know if you have any questions about this, I’m happy to help.

    Hey @jodz,

Thank you for sharing your site with us, we are thrilled that you chose GiveWP to help you meet your fundraising goals.

It looks like things are all set, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any other issues, you can always send us a new message and we’ll be happy to take a look.

    Happy fundraising!

    Hey @huzaifaahmed,

    Happy to help with this!

The process of migrating data from one WordPress site to another is notoriously difficult. It’s a pain point of all WordPress sites, and any time e-commerce (or donations) are involved, it’s even more tricky.

We have a very thorough article all about migrating data without data loss, and it is the best help we can give you.

You’ll need to create a local site (I use LocalWP and highly recommend it) and then merge the live site with the staging site’s data, following the tutorial steps https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/site-redesigns-without-donation-data-loss/, and then push the whole new site live.

Whoever is doing data migration needs to have full access (via SSH or FTP) to the files so that if something goes sideways, they can fix it. That (of necessity) needs to be a third-party contractor or you yourselves.

I would recommend using Migrate Pro to migrate the database, and a maintenance mode plugin to put the live site in maintenance mode so that new donations/comments/etc don’t come in during the migration.

The great thing about this solution is that you can practice it until you get it right locally, and then do a “live run” with the site in maintenance mode. That’s what I’d recommend.

Thanks for using GiveWP, happy fundraising!
