It sounds like you need to assign a role to your form and then change the role settings in wordpress. Here is how you can do that.
On your form, on the right hand side, is a “customize this form” widget. On the dropdown menu underneath, select “yes” to add custom settings to the form.
An “assign role to this form” dropdown menu should appear. Select the role you wish to add to the form, in your case subscriber.
Now go onto the user roles section of Ultimate member dashboard and select subscriber. Scroll down and change the registration status to “require admin review”
Hope this helps

To update question 2….
Or to only show services offered by John Appleseed (so not the whole staff list)
Dont worry i figured it out –
Use the shortcodes not in the shortcode form box, but rather in the Text Area box and customise each profile accordingly. The shortcode will still work.Hope this helps someone.
FIXED:
I found the problem. I was putting the shortcode for the Profile Form in the Account Page, which wouldnt let me update as it was supposed to be in the User Page.
Thanks for your help.
All the best,

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Everything seems to be in order and tried selecting/unselecting all the options and updating. Creating a new user after deleting existing one still presents the same problem. I am wondering if its anything to do with the fact that i am using a localhost server…? Or somewhere on WP its not letting ultimate member edit user information?
