I have the same problem. Permalinks work for my posts (ie; the url for the posts has changed to reflect the new permalink structure) but pages are still totally inaccessible via their ‘page slug.’ Don’t know what’s going on.

well, here’s what I know:
the links to ‘posts’ have changed to reflect the new permalink structure, using the post name as a link. so, since that’s working, doesn’t that imply that my htaccess is being written?

on the other hand, I can’t find the htaccess file anywhere on my server.

when you say “WP will put a bunch of code at the bottom of the page” what page are you referring to?

I know I’m probably missing some basic stuff here, but thanks for taking the time to help out. I appreciate it.

If I take index.php out the majority of the links just seem to break, and I still can’t access pages like https://www.lucidus.ca/about/(for example).
I can see that the /about/ page is called https://www.lucidus.ca/?page_id=13/

So the question is, how do I get wordpress to know that when I point a browser to:
https://www.lucidus.ca/about/
That I really want it to go to:
https://www.lucidus.ca/?page_id=13

I must have to input that relationship somewhere, but I don’t know where.

I could use some help, my eyes have narrowed and my forehead’s creasing.

whew, you’ve given me some good ideas. I’m going to try and work it out tonight. it’s funny that this is so hard to do — it seems like it should be easy.

one other question. Is there any way to set up divs that function as image containers?
I don’t have any idea what I’m talking about.

Yeah I’ve been meaning to re-credit the original benevolence theme. I removed it by accident but will re-credit it shortly.

Re: the borking, it just started doing that in firefox. doesn’t do it for me in IE though. strange. I’ll see what’s up.
