Never mind, thank you.
Scroll the “key takeaways” section of the post to see a popup with Shortcode 1 (no redirect)
Click the button “free courses” on the top right to see a popup with Shortcode 2 (has redirect).
Never mind. It was the plugin Freesoul Deactivate Plugin.
I was finally able to to log into the staging site. I’ll reactivate the plugins gradually and get back to you.
Now, all the plugins except 4 are disabled on the staging site.
I created a staging site, disabled all plugins and reactivated them. It never behaved like on the live site.

I crated a test page and on that page I disabled every plugin except for Elementor, Elementor Pro, WC, and Super Socialzer. Same behavior.
Please see for yourself. If it worked, you’d be able to create an account on my site on the login page.
I disabled the few recently added plugins but that didn’t help.

Why don’t you make it possible to change the label?

You’ve been around forever and you haven’t created a decent payment plugin yet. What you suggested works for all the other gateways, but not for this plugin.
There’s no “setup” button. It’s either “install” or “manage” (if the plugin is active).
In either case, when I click that button I’m taken to the settings page that starts with—

There’s no clear option to change the label.
