OF COURSE.
Thank you very much. I did rename the folder “.old”, and I could use WordPress again immediately. That was very good advice. Now I will experiment with the older version. I will follow what is being found out about the issue …
Best, Stefan
This turns out to be more complicated than expected (to me). … Where would I find Jetpack in the ftp? I had installed it via the WP admin dashboard. I cannot find it in wp-content/plugins – but there it should be, no?
THANKS!
They responded quickly:
Both functions are not available. The reason, I am told, is that those functions would need access to the devices ‘/dev/arandom’ and/or ‘/dev/urandom’, which are not supported by my provider.
I hope this helps …
Big thanks to both of you!
I will try to reinstall the 4.2.2 version later today. Also, I did ask my provider to find out about the two functions in question. I will keep you posted!
Best,
StefanHi Christophe
Thank you for your help.
4.2.2 of … WordPress or Jetpack? ??
I would reinstall by directly changing the files on the server, right? Because I cannot get in the admin area anyway.Best,
Stefan

In reply to: wordpress audio player plugin problemStill having the same problem: the player shows off within blog articles, but never within pages. The point ist: I need the player only within pages, only seldom within blog articles. Any ideas?
Good to have those forums. I’d never make it to set up my blog software completely without :-(. Thanks a lot!

In reply to: WP Audio player does not work in any wayThanks! The thread helped me a lot. It was all about the wp_head tag.
But still the player does not appear in article pages. At least on blog posts, it works perfectly fine. This is strange, isn’t it? Due to the same header they both pages use…

In reply to: wordpress audio player plugin problemWow! – You helped me out! … At least for the half of the problem:
Now it works perfectly within blog posts – but still not working within article pages. That’s strange. Include the wp_head tag under the </head> tag in header.php. Shouldn’t it work now as well in posts as in article pages?
