sounds great except i have no idea what a role-based membership plugin is unfortunately. I’ve already exceeded my knowledge on this topic so you’ll have to talk slowly for me ??
I’m honestly at the stage where I need to pay somebody to do this for me as I’m out of time to learn how to do it myself ?? Do you do contract work Marcus?
While I think of it, instead of having to go back through 600 events to add another specific ticket (actually 2 of them) is there a way that this can be achieved somehow to make it apply across all events (code or script it somehow)
thanks again
Sorry about the late reply. I am using the revolution slider and the theme is COSMOX.
As a follow up test I deactivated every single plugin including the revolution slider and the problem still occurred. I am now using the pro version of the EM so this is a real pain in the ass. I have well over 500 events that I need to modify and this adds so much extra time just to carry out very simply edits per event. Event just to go into the edit page I have to re-enter the when fields.
Also i don’t want to start another thread within this one but when i search page one of the events and then page two, some of the events from page one will reappear in page two and as I progress through the 30 + pages many events will never appear at all. Then i have to go back through the 30 + pages again just to try and catch the ones I missed. Very frustrating and much productivity goes out the window with these problems.
Ok after much playing around i’ve tried clone and duplicate, both seem to work fine now but for some reason when I had previously cloned about 200 events off one single event it became a problem. That’s all I can really put it down to.
I’m not using WP MultiSite.
Ok so just to clarify.
I want to have three types of payments:
Members which is $25
Children $10, &
Sponsors $10How exactly would I set it up for that then.
Do i need to create a ticket for each group?
There may be one issue, which is that the membership is not determined by the website but via another method so I can’t just rely on people clicking ‘member’ because they may not be.
Is there a way around this is is it one of just matching up the membership registrations via my site with the memberships record via the other means?
Thanks for your help with this.
yes it does and thank you
Ok thanks for that I think i understand what you mean. I’ll try it.
Thanks very much
I think i just figured out what was happening. For some reason when I cloned a heap of new events they failed to appear. Now I have gone through and modified the text within the event details for each of the events in question (somewhere near 250 of them) and now they appear just fine. What a pain in the neck. Perhaps it was a clone issue as much as anything else.
Thanks Phil,
Thats a decent suggestion but unfortunately i can’t undo it myself as I don’t know what was done. To wind it back I would have to pay more money and lose more time. If that’s what needs to be done then so be it but I’d dearly love Marcus to take a quick look for me and tell me whether that is the most appropriate option. Time is a big issue for me right now, as I’m running late on a launch date for the site as a result of this.
Thanks for your reply Marcus. I discussed your response with the person modifying the event pages and she said that in order to achieve the updated visual styling of the event pages, she DID NOT modify ANY of the EM plugin’s files, but rather a PHP file belonging to the Cosmox theme, namely single_blog.php. Additionally, she created several CSS rules that were necessary to override the certain default CSS rules of the theme and of the EM plugin. In a nutshell, the plugin is UNCHANGED.
Is there any chance at all that you could login into my WP panel and have a look to tell me what the problem is please? I am waiting for this problem to be solved before I purchase the pro version. I need the pro version because I need users to register for multiple events at the one time so there is no question that I will purchase it. I have just held off until this problem is revolved so as to not complicate the issue with the pro version.
Is that a possibility Marcus?
Hi i’m not using any short code, just making parent categories and child categories from the drop down menus.
I can show you a link but you’ll just see the heading an nothing else below it…
here is one that is working
https://qldpolicesport.com/?event-categories=aquathonHere is one that is only showing one event when there is actually 10
https://qldpolicesport.com/?event-categories=track-field-19-yrs-mensWhen i go to the categories within WP i can see the name of the categories and in the events column is accurately records how many events are in that category but it’s just when I try to view the category page that the events don’t show up.
Thanks for that. I don’t want to stop people accessing my site just because they aren’t members, in fact at the benefits of being a member are not website related. I just need to make sure that I can do two things.
1st – have people pay a membership to this club (after agreeing to the waiver)
2nd – whenever anybody registers for an event they must also do so by having to agree to the waiver.
Have i just contradicted myself or does this make sense? once way or another they need to agree to the waiver.

In reply to: Search engine results – descriptionI’d rather not have my website indexed on this forum with this problem. Is there a way that I can post it without it being indexed by a search engine? or a PM that I can send?
