Do you mean you want to show the latest posts of different categories on the front page like this:

Yes, this is possible tweaking the ‘Loop’. Read the codex for more information.

Another wordpress user (i’ve forgotten her name) suggested using a little thing called simplePie https://simplepie.org/

I think editing the loop is much more easier.

The same problem happens after I upgraded to WP 2.0.2. I was about to post my problem here and now founded this long thread. Perhaps I’ll try Paul Johns’ solution by cleaning those white spaces.

haha, then it’s too strange, coz i made the header the same size as the jpg header!
but if i save the header as gif instead of swf, then there’s no problem at all.

the .swf file tends to go a bit out of the original position as it was supposed to be……

unfortunately, the codes at pastebin are gone. i wanna insert a .swf instead of the kubrickheader.jpg
and i inserted the
<object>...><embed>..</embed></object>

into the <div id=header></div> area, but then nothing show up……can anyone share this tip with me again? Thanks.

nope, billh, for the blix theme, it has already the support for gravatars.

you need to have gravatar.php installed in your plugin folder. go to gravatar.com and get this wp-plugin.

@spencerp: For IE and Opera, as for what I have observeed and tested, you have to wait a few seconds before the menu could work. ie, until the page is completely loaded.

@waraxe: ?? I totally agree with you. A good webpage design should be compatible with as much browser as possible. I’ve been trying hard to make it look good in IE and Opera, but can’t do it somehow at the moment…. eg., the hovering can’t work. The banner is just a temporary solution. Thanks for your suggestions. ??

As for the “bug” you mentioned, I did it on purpose. If the drop downs is going “rightward” like the previous three, it does not look too good. It’s best view with Firefox, and looks crappy with IE/Opera. I don’t know it with Safari though.
Many people requested this drop down menu script. Will post it later when I have time and let you know! ??

you’ve to remove the colon “:” sign.
