In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Photo information location?I guess my question is where are the following database folders that you mentioned in another response:
Did you transfer the db tables:
wp_wppa_albums
wp_wppa_photos
wp_wppa_ratings
wp_wppa_comments
wp_wppa_iptc
wp_wppa_exifI’m not sure where these are.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang and Photo Album Plus without reloading all the photosThanks for your replies. Unfortunately Polylang doesn’t appear to be totally compatible with Photo Album Plus, so I’m trying a different plugin. It worked well with my other pages though and was easy to use.

In reply to: [Polylang] Polylang and Photo Album Plus without reloading all the photosI don’t need to translate the media files, but unchecking the option doesn’t solve the problem. I’m not sure I can easily explain this.
Essentially what I need is a “dual” page that can be read by both the first language and the second language (keeping the same page name and not having any changes). But I don’t see how I do that in polylang. Right now, if I am in the second language and one of my pages refers to this dual page, the menu reverts to the first language. I can’t stay in the second language. Does that make sense?

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Photo album plus and polylangOk. Sounds like I have a few options. I’ll explore polylang a bit longer with shortcodes and then maybe try qtranslate. I’ll let you know what worked. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Photo album plus and polylangI may have to switch to qTranslate Plus, but before I do, I’d like to just try and see if I can get this working since all my other pages are functioning with polylang.
I have the first language as English, the second as Spanish. When in Spanish, I can load the main album page without a problem
https://www.undermexicanskies.com/gasteropodos/Still in the Spanish menu, if you click Ampularidae, everything works fine because in the edit album page “link to” (below link type) I have changed the link to the Spanish page translation of the English page. The code on this Spanish page is simply [wppa][/wppa], which works (same as on the English page).
However, if you click on any of the other subalbums (I haven’t changed these), because the edit album page “link to” (below link type) is set to an English page (Beachcombing)the menu reverts to English.
But to change each subalbum so that it links to either the English page or the Spanish page means making a duplicate subalbum (I imagine with a different name) so that it can have its own link to either the Spanish or English page.
Is duplication of a subalbum easily done? And if so, does that mean I have doubled the size of my site? Or perhaps there is a differnt way of linking subalbums just to the album content, which would not involve the menu? I’m not sure how I would do this though.
As always, thanks for your help.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Remove album cover from subalbum with only one photoThanks! That worked! This is really a great plug-in. And thanks for being so responsive.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Remove album cover from subalbum with only one photoThank you. That helped somewhat but the change isn’t being applied when I try to link to the page through the Album Admin pages.
Here is a link so you can see what is happening:
https://www.undermexicanskies.com/If you scroll over on the menu to “Collections/Gastropods” and click, this opens a page that has the shortcode [wppa type=”covers” album=”10″][/wppa]. The subalbums display correctly without the cover album image.
However, if you go back to the Home page, scroll down to the “Gastropods” image and click. This also links to the Gastropod page through the Edit Album Information page of WP Photo Album Plus and you will see that the subalbums are all listed correctly in order and then down at the bottom of the page is the cover album image (which I do not want). I can set the threshold to 1 and this cover album image will disappear, but then I won’t be able to get my the subalbums that only have one image to work.
Regardless of how you get to the Gastropod subalbums, if you click on any of the subalbums and then use the Breadcrumb to go back, the cover album image shows up again.
I must have a setting wrong in the Edit album information page but I’ve tried various combinations and no luck. The link type is Subalbums and thumbnails and the the link to: is the gastropod page.
There is probably something very basic that I am doing incorrectly, but I can’t figure it out.

In reply to: [Simple Photo Gallery] images not shown (incorrect link)If I edit the image in the gallery, I can “view attachment page” and see the enlarged image with the correct description. But for some reason this attachment page is not linking to the image thumbnail. Any thoughts on linking this? There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to copy the permalink to in the thumbnail.

In reply to: [Simple Photo Gallery] images not shown (incorrect link)I haven’t deleted the photo details page and cannot get it to work by creating galleries without the images. If the fix has been applied, any idea when the updated plugin will be available? Otherwise, this is a great plugin and easy to use.
