Just to clarify, your site’s front-end won’t change when your license expires. The only thing that changes is access to edit some of the Pro features in the backend.
We realize we could have done better at communicating these updates. Our intention with these changes was to keep giving you the great support and updates you’re used to, while making sure everything stays up-to-date and secure.
We take your feedback seriously and are exploring ways to improve our policies and communication. We appreciate your support over the years and hope to find a resolution that allows you to stay with us!
Actually… I think the issues you are having with getting our emails are the same issue you are having with getting the emails from your site. We got this auto reply in response to one of our messages to you:
A message that you sent was rejected by the local scanning code that
checks incoming messages on this system. The following error was given:“Relaying not permitted”
Are you okay if we switch this to a support ticket so we can be sure you can see our messages?

I’m sorry to hear this wasn’t clear. With such a feature-rich plugin, we have found it difficult to include a full breakdown here. Instead, we included a link to our list of all features where it’s much easier to add a feature list without making the content hard to read.

We understand the frustration of dealing with what seems like a buggy or insufficient product. However, I assure you that your experience is an exception. The lite version is designed with a form styler, and the CSS file should apply seamlessly. It’s possible there might have been a server permissions issue, but we can only confirm this with more details from you.

In the future if you run into issues with any plugin, it’s much appreciated by the team if you reach out before adding a 1 star review. Our team has been working very hard on getting 5 star reviews, and it’s quite demoralizing when a poor review is posted that may not even be for our product.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. In our repository details, it’s tricky to mention for every feature whether it’s in the lite version or not. Here’s a list with more detail about what is in lite and what is in Pro. We definitely aren’t trying to trick people into installing the lite version, because that would only lead to people quickly uninstalling it too.

I have reviewed your support ticket and it appears that you had lost access to certain options that you previously had, due to a conflict with an old third-party plugin called Formidable Plus. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I would recommend disabling the Formidable Plus plugin to see if you are able to access the options that were unavailable to you. Once you have disabled the plugin, please let us know if you are able to access those options again like Signatures and User Registration.
I’d like to clarify that we have not removed any features that were included in your original purchase. We have added new features such as form templates and style templates that are only available to users with a current license. These options were not available when you originally purchased your license, which is why they were not included with your grandfathered license. Due to the costs of creating, hosting, and maintaining these new features, we are not able to offer them to everyone.

I understand that you are upset about the lifetime license you purchased years ago not including access to new add-ons. I can definitely understand why this would be frustrating for you.
Firstly, I want to apologize for any miscommunication on our part. Our lifetime license includes lifetime updates, but we realize that we didn’t communicate clearly enough that this would not include every new feature we release in the future.
However, I want to assure you that the value we offered at the time of your purchase has not been reduced in any way. We have continued to serve updates to those who haven’t paid anything in over 5-10 years. This is in contrast to many other companies who have stopped offering free options or one-time fees and have required their users to start paying or switch to a different solution.
That being said, we hope that the new features in the core plugin have been valuable to you and enhance your experience with Formidable. We will continue releasing great new add-ons, and we hope you will see enough value in them to support our company so we will be able to provide even more great options in the future.
