I was just working with another site, this time a pretty standard site (not woocommerce) with PODS installed, and noticed it was also loading pages slowly even though it’s on a fast and capable server and there’s almost no traffic. I changed PODS performance settings as suggested above and it got faster. This leads me to wonder what the downsides of this change might be. In other words, should I always turn off those settings? Here is a CPU utilization chart to illustrate. The first set of spikes is 10 page refreshes (while logged in to avoid cache usage) after turning the performance settings off as recommended above, and the second much larger set of spikes is 10 page refreshes of the same page after turning those options back on.
Yes, that seems to have done the trick! Thanks!

In reply to: Twenty Seventeen Show Site Tagline, But Hide Site TitleThanks, @saurabhdhariwal!
This is exactly what I was looking for. My logo is the same as the site title and it looked like I was repeating myself on the site, so I tried just deleting the site title, but that had other negative side effects. This was great. Thanks!

In reply to: Fatal Error since updateThanks a lot for that. It was a different theme I was using and the line number was different but it still worked perfectly. Crazy how this happens. Thanks for posting this. It helped a lot, as I didn’t need to restore from backup.
Oh, ok…thanks for letting me know. I will do it from now on.
Hi! I’m wondering if, if I approve a request (thumbs-up icon), does the user receive a notification that it was done? I hope so, because I have not emailed these blocked users after approving their request.
Thanks

In reply to: Logo Disappeared after WordPress UpdateUpdating the theme to the latest version seems to have fixed this but still — how did that CSS change in the first place?

In reply to: Logo Disappeared after WordPress UpdateI’m having the same problem. I never changed the css file but also have the “visibility:hidden” showing when I inspect. What caused this to change?
Hi Keith,
I just found this plugin and it looks like it’s gonna be great. Thanks for writing and sharing it.
I wanted to chime in here as I had the same concern. Upon re-reading the notes, it does say that it will display the captcha “if a real user is blocked”. However, as a suggestion, maybe this could be made a bit clearer in the admin page. The section heading for the re-captcha does not say “second chance”, but some of the other sections do. I think this is perhaps what led to my confusion. Also, the instructions say that we need to enable it on the challenge & deny menu to the left, even though that menu item leads to the same page. Would it make sense to change that to read something like, “If the recaptcha form looks good you need to make sure ‘Google ReCaptcha’ is enabled in the ‘Second Chance Captcha Challenge’ section above.”?
Thanks again, and I hope this doesn’t sound like complaining. I’m just trying to help out.
Hi, I’ve spoken with Sucuri sales and it was confirmed that this plugin is not related to their firewall or hack cleanup service.
Thanks.
If I subscribe to Sucuri, or pay for their service, will there be a different plugin that replaces this one?
I still can’t seem to keep them stored for more than a day or so. I just checked and it’s empty again. I wonder if it could be related to some quirk of my host (pagely)? Would the paid version of Sucuri provide something that might work better? Thanks
Great. Thank you for the help.
Thanks.
I have been adding the IPs to the Trust IP panel, and they stick for a while even if I refresh the page, but some time later they are gone. I’m not sure why. I have three IPs that are quite different from one another so I didn’t think I needed to use CIDR. I just add the three IPs, they seem to stick, and then they’re gone when I go back later (List is empty).
Thanks a lot for the quick answer!
This does not affect any logins by non-admin users, is that correct? I am wondering why there were so many “active” users showing on the real-time view of google analytics, as we have a total of two admin users only one of which was using the system (me). I saw Google analytics reporting up to 5 of these.
Thanks
