@taffy1947 – I am using a purchased theme which has this plugin that comes with it… their demo works 100%.

I have tried using Twenty Sixteen, still get the same error

FYI – I tried downloading and installing v1.4.0 from the WordPress SVN – unfortunately same issue as above.

I am getting the same issue. Running WP 5.1, PHP 7.2, and version 1.4.1 of your plugin. When trying to activate the plugin, get the following error:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘WPUpdatePhp’ not found in wp-content/plugins/wp-car-manager/wp-car-manager.php:58

    Stack trace: #0 wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(2050): include() #1 wp-admin/plugins.php(175): plugin_sandbox_scrape(‘wp-car-manager/…’) #2 {main} thrown in wp-content/plugins/wp-car-manager/wp-car-manager.php on line 58

FYI – I have tried with PHP 7.2, 7.1, 7.0 – all give the same error.
When I tried with PHP 5.6, I received this error:

Fatal error: Class ‘WPUpdatePhp’ not found in wp-content/plugins/wp-car-manager/wp-car-manager.php on line 58

I can seem to get around this issue if I switch off the “enable AJAX based validation” – but I would like to retain the use of this if possible.

This issue seems to have been resolved when directory permissions were changed by the hosting company today…

OK… Upon a little further investigation, I picked up this in the Chrome console:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (ModSecurity Action)
    https://www.alacrity.co.za/jm-ajax/get_listings/

I have looked, and that folder does not exist….

    Please advise.

I seem to have found another issue around this… Here is my experience over the last 2 days.

Firstly, I am using CF7 in conjuction with WP-Mail-SMTP.
From within WP-Mail-SMTP, I was able to send test mails with no problem. All of a sudden, all the mails coming from CF7 were showing the recipient email address (mydomain.com) as the sender as well. This was working before, but all of a sudden, no longer.

I tried everything from uninstalling to reinstalling plugins, the works. Having read these forums and tried numerous other things, I still had no luck.

It even got to the point that when I hit the submit button on my form, nothing would happen – no message, no mail – nothing!

This morning, I changed my permalinks back to the default setting, and VOILA! I now get the message displayed after hitting submit button, and I get the email!! YAY!!

Problem is, I the sender still appears as the same address as the recipient. Fortunately though, the sender email address that appears in the body of the mail is indeed correct… but it would be nice if we could get to the bottom of this.

BTW – I am hosting with HostExcellence, so no GoDaddy issues here…
