Unless you know how to fix it yourself, you can only disable it and wait for a developer update.

This worked for me, within another plugin that helps me manage CSS:

.footnotes { font-size: 1em !important; }

My current problem is trying to fix the color. I don’t want it dim.

– Start a new post
– Paste your text
– Click preview

The new tab shows all the content, including all of the footnotes.

The right-hand side of the main page has a link to “Advanced View” and at the bottom it says “Please select a specific version to download.”

There is a dropdown box to select which version you’d like.

I am still using 2.1.3

This problem is resolved. That other non-duplicate problem is unresolved.

Also, thanks a lot for the other adjustments which helps the style of my footnotes title. I’ve made it H2, which is fine for me. (If I really wanted to, I could make my H6 look like my H1). There are some color preferences I have but I will make it plain for now; I think it looks great.

I need to take more time to read your replies and understand this problem.

Some quick comments:

– The format (( https://example.com https://example.com )) (with spaces) displays correctly. I use this format already, so I am happy with this.
– I tried with OceanWP and see no changes.
– Setting Footnotes “Allow URLs to line-wrap anywhere” setting to no seems to have fixed the problem.
– The style seems a little odd to me, I will have to investigate the settings.
– The Blogtext interlink for “google” is google = https://www.google.com/search?q=$1
– An example URL is https://blog.spiralofhope.com/?p=68575
– I have kept “Allow URLs to line-wrap anywhere” as yes for your examination.

To get this version installed correctly, I deactivated and then deleted my 2.0.3 upload, and then I installed footnotes from the WordPress plugin finder.

I deleted my existing footnotes plugin and installed the recommended developer version. I see no change.

With one line:

test (( testing ))

I get test [2] with two footnote “testing” entries.

I made a child theme to adjust some colors and such.

I don’t understand how this can be a theme problem, but I can continue to try to troubleshoot.
