    Hi Ubeo,
Yes, that is correct. It is random. One order will come through fine, or maybe several, and then one will come through missing all of the data on both addresses. This problem began with orders on 7/18 for us. The latest Woocommerce update was the day before on 7/17. I need to try to figure out a way to report this to the Woocommerce developers.

I am thinking this must be related to this last Woocommerce update, which was on 7/17 (the day before the first problem began), I have reverted the site back to the previous version of Woocommerce. I’m going to give it some time and see if orders that come in now have any issues. If after several days to a week, there are no more problems, then that would indicate to me it was indeed a result of the last Woocomerce update.

If that is the case, then it would seem to me to be either a bug in the last update, or perhaps the update somehow did not install correctly. I’ll post an update as things progress in case anyone else follows this post.

    Hi Owadud,
Thank you for your reply and for trying to help. As per your suggestions, I checked all of those settings. Everything appears to me to be correct. I’m also thinking that an update may be the cause of the issue. I’m wondering if this could be a bug in Woocommerce.

Do you know if there is any way to report an issue to the developers at Woocommerce, and/or perhaps pay someone for assistance with this issue? It’s really important to get this resolved, and I’m at a loss on what to do.

What’s really frustrating is that I do not even know how to reproduce the issue on a test order. It just happens randomly.

I just wanted to add, that the other issue I mentioned on the bottom left of the screen with the ADA compliance plugin, is resolved, and was not related to me doing anything with the Mega Menu.

    Hi Tom,
It took a while for me to have time to focus on this, but this morning I purchased your Pro version of Mega Menu for five sites. I followed the instructions on the link you sent me previously for how to use “replacements” to use the code for the Privacy and Cookie policies that we discussed earlier in this thread. I have good news, and not so good news.

The good news is, it worked, as far as functionality. However, when I activated the Mega Menu and did this, for some reason it changed the formatting of the entire bottom menu on my site. I’m thinking this may be able to be corrected with settings somewhere, but I have no idea where. To show you an example of what I am talking about, I’ll show you two screenshots. The first screenshot is how my site looks without using the Mega Menu, and how it needs to look:

    https://i.postimg.cc/44W8mLY2/Screen-Hunter-256.jpg

Here is a screenshot of when I had the Mega Menu enabled and added just one link using the replacements option. In this screenshot, you can see several things have happened to the bottom menu. There is a grayed out box around all of the menu links. The links themselves are bold white in color. The previous links for the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy say “Custom HTML: Cookie Policy”, and “Custom HTML: Privacy Policy”. That is how those links are titled within the menu in wordpress, as those are from the widget plugin that I have used previously. These are the links I am trying to replace with your plugin. The other link in this screenshot is called “Privacy Policy 2”. That is the link that was created using the Mega Menu plugin with the replacements option, and it functioned properly when clicked on, and also seemed to have the correct color.

Do you know what could be causing these formatting issues? For now, I have the Mega Menu deactivated until these issues can be resolved.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

P.S. You’ll notice on the second screenshot, there is another issue on the bottom left side of the screen. That is from another problem I am having with a script that I use on the site for ADA Compliance, which I am pretty sure is unrelated to the Mega Menu, but I’m not positive about that yet. It’s an issue that I did not notice until I was working on the menu’s this morning. I have a support request out to the ADA company for that problem.

    Hi Tom,
Sorry for the delayed reply. Thank you for looking at this for me. When I get paid next I will buy the 5 site license for your plugin so that I can use it to replace this abandoned plugin. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out how to do it using the link you shared. If I have any issues once I am to that point I’ll let you know.

    Best regards,

    Anthony

    Hi Tom,
Thank you for your reply. I believe what I am trying to do would be considered a top level link. Perhaps it would be easiest to show you what I am trying to do. If you look at these screenshots, you’ll see how I currently have it setup using the abandoned plugin that I am still using.

This first screenshot shows a “widget” with code in it. There are two of these widgets with code; one for the privacy policy and one for the cookie policy. The next screenshot shows how those widgets are added to the bottom menu of my site, and the third screenshot just shows how the links appear at the bottom of my site. This is what I am trying to accomplish with your plugin. Is it possible to do this at all with your plugin? If not, are you aware of any other plugins out there that may be able to do this?

Screenshot 1 with widget and code:

Screenshot 2 with widget in menu:

Screenshot 3 – bottom links on website – showing Privacy/Cookie Policy links

Thank you for taking the time to look at this for me.

    Hi Tobias,
Correct, I would want to append the data to an existing table. Some of these tables have links on the data, which was time consuming to put in place. I just looked at the import area, and I see the append option for importing into an existing table. My apologies, I should have looked at that closer before asking. Hopefully whenever I need to use that option, I won’t have any issue.

I think that answered that question, and I think I’m good to go now. ??

Thank you so much for all of your help; it is greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Hi Tobias,
Thank you for your reply. I added that CSS underneath of the color CSS code in the Custom area. I cleared the cache, and opened a new private window using Firefox, and the issue is corrected.

I checked it in several browsers and it displayed properly in each of them, with all three lines of text in the header row showing. So that problem is resolved. Thank you so much. I do have one last question if you don’t mind.

When I created all of the tables for the pages that I have, I did so by importing excel spreadsheets, and then editing the table rows as necessary. That worked perfectly. My question is, let’s say I have an existing table, and later I need to add an additional 25 rows of data, with each row having 6 columns. Is it possible to import those additional 25 rows of data into an existing table from a separate spreadsheet, which only has those 25 rows of data on it? Or would all of that data have to be manually typed into the table?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    Hi Tobias,
My friend, you are truly brilliant. While the WP Bakery plugin does not have a traditional “text” editor side of things, it does have a “Gutenburg” editor, which appears to be essentially the same thing. This was the first time I have ever looked at anything through the gutenburg editor, as I am not really familiar with it at all.

Before even checking the gutenburg editor, I pasted the code into a notepad document, and then copied it from there into the text block, and that corrected the formatting issue.

The header row still cuts off just a bit, which appears to me that it is just slightly going underneath of the other fixed position header message for the page. If that cannot be changed, I can live with it this way. It does not look horrible this way, it just cuts off the top line of the header row.

Is there any way to add any additional code in there that would position the header row just a little lower so that the top line stays visible? If not, it’s no big deal.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    Hi Tobias,
Thank you for your reply. Sorry for the delayed response; I have just now had some time to focus on this.

That’s a great idea on using a text block instead of the “shortcode mapper”. This has gotten me closer to a solution, but there is still a problem. This is the code that I have used in a text block:

    [table id=2 datatables_fixedheader=top datatables_fixedheader_offsettop=60 /]

That is working, as far as the header remaining in position when I scroll down the page. However, for some reason, the table is losing it’s formatting when it is done in this manner. I’ll show you the difference in how it is showing with this code, versus how it should look with proper formatting, when it is displayed on another page that is still using the “shortcode mapper” table shortcode.

This is the page with the code in the text block, with the incorrect formatting. You can see that the text is a different font/size, and the spacing in the header text is wrong, having a large space between each row of header text:

    https://genexhaust.com/magnetic-dipsticks-and-oil-change-tubes-will-fit-champion-models/

Please also note, that on that page, the header row has three rows of text to display the header/title of each column, but when the page is scrolled, and the header remains in place, the top row of text disappears from the header.

This is a page that has the correct formatting using the “shortcode mapper” table shortcode (but where the header is not fixed in position)

    https://genexhaust.com/magnetic-dipsticks-will-fit-firman-models/

If you could possibly figure out why the formatting of the table is getting lost on the first page, I think this problem would be solved.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    Hi Tobias,
I figured something out that may have me closer to a solution on this. I remembered that the WPBakery Page Builder settings has an area where I had to create an element for the shortcode to be able to be added. In their program it’s called a “shortcode mapper”. Anyway, I went into the settings of that, and there was an area where I could include a default value for the shortcode. So I added the extension code in there, and it created the following shortcode:

    [table id=”2 datatables_fixedheader=top /”]

However, that did not prevent the header row from scrolling out of sight on the page, so something is causing a problem in that code. The software automatically generates that shortcode, and I noticed that it adds quotes before the ID number, and before the closing bracket. Do you think those quotes would cause the extension code not to work? If not, do you see anything in that code that maybe I entered incorrectly as a default value?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

    Hi Tobias,
Thank you for your reply, and I apologize for the delayed response. I thought it would be easier to make a short video showing you what I am talking about. It took a long time to upload to youtube due to a slow internet connection.

This is a private video, so nobody will see it without this link.

    Thanks,

I wanted to share my experience with this issue. I can’t guarantee this is the exact solution for everyone else, but it solved the issue on my site. It is a very simple solution, which was very complicated to figure out. After recent WordPress and Woocommerce updates, many people are seeing the following error from within their WordPress dashboard:

Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection. We highly recommend serving your entire website over an HTTPS connection to help keep customer data secure. Learn more here.

    Steps to resolve issue:
    1. Disable Really Simple SSL plugin.
    2. Go to Woocommerce settings – Advanced tab.
    3. On “Secure Checkout” option, check “Force Secure Checkout”
    4. Then, and only then, enable Really Simple SSL plugin.
At this point you should have no error.

If someone does not have the Really Simple SSL plugin installed, then it may only be a matter of checking “Force Secure Checkout” in the settings (depending on links within your site). This problem may also occur if anyone is using any other type of plugin similar to Really Simple SSL (if there are any).

If you do not follow this sequence and you have the Really Simple SSL plugin activated, then this section within Woocommerce is completely hidden, and you are unable to see or select “Force Secure Checkout”.

I encountered this issue prior to even installing the Real SSL plugin. However, I did not have the “Force Secure Checkout” option selected at that time, therefore I was getting that error. When I then installed and activated the Really Simple SSL plugin, that section was therefore hidden. My understanding is that the Really Simple SSL plugin is supposed to force all internal links to be https, but unless the “Force Secure Checkout” selection is checked before activating that plugin, this error will be generated and persist.

I have had an SSL certificate for my site through my hosting company for quite some time, and this issue only occurred after recent WordPress/Woocommerce updates.
