I have a site under attack now. Unfortunate that we have to add reCaptcha as the only solution. The attackers are clearly targeting this plugin.

The transactions aren’t even for the face amount of the item, but a much lower ($4-5 amount) instead.

Perhaps some sort of limiter (# of attempts per visitor per minute) or some other anti-bot hardening would be possible to implement into the plugin?

@tomcannavan Can you please share how you resolved this? We’ve been getting thousands of these attempts over the last 2 days. I’ve tried to ban IP addresses and they keep coming back from another address.

Mods/Devs – This is a serious issue for us. We’re running the latest version (updated today) and have had to turn off the plugin to stem the attacks, which is also costing us actual purchases as well.

We don’t have 12 results for most queries. The issue is that on that page (https://jgirlsmagazine.org/contributors/), we list ALL USERS of a specific role, of which we have over 100. Now, when someone goes to page 2 by hitting the “next” link at the bottom, it goes to https://jgirlsmagazine.org/contributors/page/2/, then 3, etc. It is on all of the /page/___ that the function breaks.

It appears to be looking for the second (or Xth) page of search results instead of the first page of search results—and since there are not 12 of them, it reports “No users found”

I hope that clarifies it. If not, could you please navigate to the page, hit “next” at the bottom of the page and then enter any name (“Rachel” for example) into the search field?

In case anyone else is concerned, I just used the plugin on a site running WP 4.3.1 (latest as of this post) with no issues. Great plugin and saved me a lot of time!
