Unfortunately, I have already asked my hosting company to restore my last backup for now. So, I will work on this after the restore is complete and let you know if the issue is resolved.

I am using SSL on my site. Should I avoid this plug-in?

It’s the Toolbar and you can turn it off by unchecking “Show toolbar when viewing site” in your Users profile page.

I appreciate the insight. That was becoming my suspicion anyway. I just didn’t have any other experience with this plugin so just wanted to make sure.

Is there a way to use these country lists with Buddy Press’ Profile Fields?

Never mind about the shadow effect. I figured that one out myself. Now to widen the labels….

Oh, and can I eliminate the “shadow” effect on the lettering that makes the text look slightly blurry?

That is much better! If it is also fairly easy, do you happen to know how I can make the label “boxes” wider to fit the content?

Thank you for your response. Yours was a good thought. I first tried deactivating, then ultimately uninstalling/reinstalling GF. Nothing worked.

I ended by completely uninstalling WordPress from the server and reinstalling the theme and child theme followed by all the plug-ins. As I was in the process of a complete rebuild anyway, this only put me behind a few hours. Furthermore, it seemed to fix the problem. Starting with an installation of the theme, then GF, then BP seems to be working well.

I am using your theme too and want my “header” image to act as a logo above the menus and without the title and tagline. Right now, my header img appears with the header text in black font even if “show header text with your image” is unchecked in the custom header “appearance” page. The header overlay only moves the header image up and down. The display header text in the site title & tagline “customization” selection only changes whether the title and tagline are in black or white.

Perhaps moving the header img into the logo url field is the answer, but I can’t figure out how to “use wp-admin->appereace->theme option->logo setting instead. just copy paste the header img url into the logo url field,” however.

Can you give more specific step-by-step instructions on how to do what you advise?
