In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Help a Cache NoviceI’ve set as you suggest and will investigate that plug-in. Best bet may be new website and start over. I’ll decide. Thanks!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Help a Cache NoviceMark, “Minify” is not enabled. When I check it, I get a proceed-with-caution-gray-page with lots of information I don’t understand. Should I minify? Also, is there an easier way to reduce my image sizes (which I try to do as I add them) than adjusting one by one? Thanks!

In reply to: Network Solutions Install Issue@rachna I believe the Netsol engineers fixed this overnight. This morning when I checked the files were in the proper folder ready to go. Thank you for responding.
Error Message I had received prior:
“404: Page not found
This error is generated when there was no web page with the name you specified at the web site.Troubleshooting suggestions:Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.
Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!
Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists.”Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: Occasionally, randomly: ERROR ESTABLISHING A DATABASE CONNECTION@t-p. That’s what I’ve assumed. I believe it’s time for me to jumpship after 12 years with Netsol. They have been unhelpful in every way. I was sold an hour of help-tech-service time, and then told by those guys that if I didn’t have an error message or more information, they couldn’t help me, even with my description of what was happening. They blamed WordPress. Now I have the error message, but I don’t believe they will do anything.
What can they do??

In reply to: [Sketch] Gaps on Home PageYes, Kathryn. I figured it out. Thanks for checking in on me!
Thank you @jherve! I look forward to the fix. Good to know it wasn’t my ineptitude.

In reply to: [Sketch] Too Many Portfolio Pages?FWIW: I might have solved my problem! Proton in Jetpack. Conflicting with WPCache. Disabled Proton and we’ll see.

In reply to: Site Mini-Crashing Daily@sterndata thanks! I’m hoping that’s my problem and it’s fixed.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site Mini-Crashing Dailyone more thing. yesterday — out of the blue– my entire site went down in a different way. No images loaded. I removed all plugins. It seemed to be Jetpack. In the end I restored everything but “Photon” which may have conflicted with WPCache. The site was restored. Whew. Could that be my problem?

In reply to: Site Mini-Crashing DailyHi @sterndata,
I will attempt both courses of action. So far, NS has blamed me or WP and not been helpful. Today I’ve paid for their retail support service, so I’ll mention the log, which is helpful! I have all the dates from Jetpack, so I’ll have them ready.

In reply to: [Sketch] Too Many Portfolio Pages?Perfect.
I’m disabling plugins one by one. Caching plugin first, and site was down this morning. On to the next.
Thanks again!
